Ordered a few of them and a few other desirable things we found, company provided great communication and we got all the items within a few days. “This place has internationally sourced gummy type candies. I ended up getting about 1 lb of different types. I will say my favorites were all the so u r ones! I did go into the store thinking these were Swedish candies and i was slightly disappointed when they didnt have the marshmallow-y type of candy. Either way I very much enjoyed my selections!”

“If you’re anywhere near Bleecker Street, you have to stop by Porto Rico Importing Co. This place feels like stepping into a piece of New York history. The moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee hits you, it’s incredible.
They have an amazing selection of beans from all over the world, and the staff really knows their stuff. I asked for something smooth but flavorful, and they guided me to the perfect choice. You can tell they genuinely care about quality.
What I love most is the old-school charm and nothing fancy, just authentic, high-quality coffee at great prices. It’s the kind of place that coffee lovers truly appreciate.
Highly recommend if you want fresh beans and a true NYC experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”

“Ray is an East Village celebrity. Originally from Iran, Ray jumped overboard a Navy ship to swim away to a new life in the United States. He started the shop in the 70s and has been around ever since. Even when Ray recently sustained an assault, he went right back to work. This institution offers various soft serve, fries, fried Oreos, hotdogs, chili dogs, egg creams, onion rings. Any number of fried foods one might eat after a drunken soirée. Someone commented on his Instagram page, “no one has seen me drunker than this man.” Most things are 7-10 dollars, though there are a few things that are more expensive, like 16 dollars or so. Pretty sure Ray is cash only. Ray still works the spot. He’s about to turn 91. If you want to see him, get on with it. New York changes all the time. One day you might show up, and Ray will be gone. Don’t miss your chance to experience this icon.”
“Great local deli/convenience store. Has pretty much all you need (toiletries, food, random household stuff) plus the guys are friendly and welcoming!
Only thing I’d change is a better snack selection, but I mostly come here for food so it’s no big deal.”

The staff at the Bryant Park shop were friendly, patient, and happy to explain the different options, which made the experience even better. It’s the perfect stop for a gift or a little treat for yourself while walking through the area.

Best $1+ sandwiches NEXT TO HAAJI'S (Currently Blue Sky Deli on 110th n 1st ave) literally Marys candy store been around for so long I pray they never go out of business !! Literally a staple in the east Harlem community. I have been going here since I was in 6years old in PS 102, I'm so lucky my grandma still live in the area and I now work close by so I can enjoy a treat or 3. Many friends are begging for me to tell them where I got the candy and they really love the fact that I got them so much candy that they could not get in many other places. The staff is mostly super nice to people. But one particular staff is kind of mean and likes to talk about people to the other staff members. But the other staff members would shut her down real fast. So tysm.”
“Fantastic gourmet store with hot sauces, peanuts, mustards, spices, candies, snacks, chocolates and many NY souvenirs, as well. They also have craft beer, jams, jellies and other gourmet products. An excellent store located inside the Chelsea market. Highly recommended!”

“I grew up on the West Coast and was so excited when See’s opened up a shop in NYC. I have been to this shop several times. It’s always a fun experience. The staff is always lovely and fun, and give excellent customer service. The displays inside and layout of the store are also nice, and I love the convenient location on West 8th Street.
They don’t offer a free sample at this location because it’s a licensee store. Part of the fun of going into a store is getting a sample! It’s part of the See’s identity and something I have always enjoyed with my CA See’s experiences. It’s a great opportunity for customers to try something new and also to make them feel valued. The management and staff here is so excellent - I hope they’ll adjust this policy. Perhaps it could be something they negotiate as part of the licensee renewal - that See’s corporate will absorb the cost (or some of the cost) of the samples so this store’s polices could be kept in line with the brand. Just an idea!
Anyway, thank you to the staff and the store owner for bringing this store to NYC. The location is fabulous - right off the West 4th Street Station.”
