“Today I will go to this location, to try to open a new checking account and a new savings account, as well--to try to take advantage of the fat bonus, that Citizens Bank is offering me, for doing so. I cannot speak for the financially irresponsible person (in another review of this location), who tried to cash a large check at this location, instead of at their own bank (and, if they don't have a checking account at any other bank at all, they are completely financially irresponsible!) Because I would NEVER try to do that...
Nor can I speak for all of the OUTDATED reviews (that the idiots at Google have still left here, on this location)--now that the business has changed from HSBC to Citizens Bank (a totally different business, by the way!) But, what I can speak for is that it pays to be WELL EDUCATED (at least about business, grammar, arithmetic and English speaking abilities, that is)--if you want to do business with a bank, any bank--in today's world. For those who are not...you will always be at the mercy of businesses that will try to take advantage of you--no matter what your race or ethnic origin is. So, that being said--I hope that all of you who gave 1-star reviews to the former bank, at this location, or the relatively new bank, now at this location--will make more of an effort to EDUCATE THEMSELVES--and consequently will not fall into some of the unfortunate situations that I read about, listed here, in this plethora of 1-star reviews. After all--whose fault is it, anyway--if you are NOT EDUCATED enough, to deal with this bank, or any other bank, like this one?”
“The Edison branch is one of the best Valley Branches I have ever been too. They always provide me the BEST Customer Experience. They greet me by name every time I walk in. 9/10 times they already know what you need before you ask and they are always prepared. Everyone here is very professional and knows what they are doing. “couldn’t be happier with the service I received at the Columbia Bank in Raritan Center recently. We usually bank at the Middletown branch, but we stopped into Raritan Center because it was on our way to the airport. The staff—Sean, Joyce, and Lily—were very friendly and went out of their way to help with my transaction. The personalized attention I always receive at either branch makes me feel valued as a customer. They spoke to us about their insurance and home equity products. Unfortunately, I could not speak at length since I had a flight to catch! But I will make sure to call them as soon as I return! I highly recommend Columbia Bank to anyone looking for reliable and community-focused banking experience.”

Not sure why so many bad reviews but I assume individual problems may be the cause of it not getting what people want usually tends to give bad reviews . “BEST TD BANK SERVICE EVER!! I've been using TD Bank for some time now, and I am very impressed with the customer service. I was in the area yesterday and stopped in to cash a check. There was only one person ahead of me but it was taking a long time. Nevertheless, Liliani gave me a friendly smile and acknowledged me. Then Ghazal, the manager stepped in and cashed my check for me! This is the ONLY time I ever saw a manager step in like that!! (In other banks managers tend to act like it's above them to go to the teller window). But, wow, this was very professional! Then while Ghazal was cashing my check, Liliani apologized for the wait. Cheers to Ghazal and Liliani for GREAT SERVICE!! If I lived closer, I'd go to this bank all the time!”
