Uncle Andy's reputation is that every baby niece or nephew, starting around 1 year old, got a stuffed monkey as a present (In one case, one was about 3 feet tall, and crammed into a large box for overseas shipping!)...Latest addition to the family - little Anthony, at 6 months old - is about to get his next week. Around 40 bucks for a pretty cool monkey with flannel PJ's...Pretty damned cute, and can't wait to see the little guy's face!

Genuinely one of the worst stores I have ever been to. Once I walked in I was not greeted, thankfully I know the process already. Once I got my bear I got to the stuffer and waited, everyone was still around the register at this point just talking and I had to go up to them to ask if they could stuff my bear. While standing at the stuffer the girl that was stuffing kept glaring at me and giving me an attitude as if I ruined her day. I then went to go dress my clothes and saw an older lady come out who I assume was the manager because once she opened the door all the employees dispersed from the register area. I wanted to express my concern on her staff and their rudeness but she completely brushed me and called one of the associates to “assist” me! It seems like “Jynnei” was her name and if you ever come to this location even though I suggest you don’t, if you see Jynnei run away just like her employees. Even the employees wanted to stay away from her, that shows that she should not be into this business ESPECIALLY with kids constantly in this store. After this I came up to the register to leave my things because this store was horrendous. I feel bad for the employees, I can’t believe they have to work under someone like that. I ended up coming in to get a regular bear with all the accessories and left with nothing, these people are incredibly rude, don’t ever shop here I have for years and have lots of the $10 gift cards that I’ll just use online.

I don’t want to be too mean, but one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Been going to build a bear since I was a kid and it’s so sad to see how far down this place has gone. Employees are very rude and look like they don’t even care to be at work. They were rude to our large group.
I think retraining the staff in customer service is very needed at this location.

I have been a build a bear customer for over 20 years. Im talking back when they took out Paws-n-claws. I had my worst experiance at this location. I arrived about 15 minutes prior to the stores opening we had to wait till 10:05 to be let into the store with a 4 year old on her birthday. We arrived to make a birthday bear one of the perks of being a build a bear member. The rep behind the counter was unable advised me that the policy had changed and i needed a special barcode to get her birthday bear. We spent about 15 minutes trying to locate my build a bear account while my niece was roaming the store looking for a new friend to create. During that time i was told that my account was no longer active in the system and i had to sign back up and return in a few days if i planned to make a birthday bear. I found this to be odd as last year i provided my information again to build the birthday bear for the same child and ended up having a different issue which caused us to leave with a different stuffed friend.
Not wanting to disappoint my niece we still made a purchase. The rep did her best to make the experiance enjoyable. I ended spending $85 in 1 stuffed friend included in those chardes was a $2 fee for a box which used.to be included with purchase i was also given a $10 gift card for a return purchase which i later noticed i was charger $5 for (i found that to be a little shady.)
We returned a few days later and attempted to make the birthday bear again. Upon my arrival to the store i immediately noticed the staff were in distress as there were about 30+ people in the store waiting to stuff animals and one customer was yelling about having animals that she allegedly purchased online but were never stuffed by the company yet she had no proof of purchase ir atkeast the staff was unable confirm her transaction due to a lack of proof purchase and system limitations. She became loud and beligerant but the staff handeled it well. During that interactiin the stuffing machine stopped working and the staff were scrambling to get it back up in operation. It appears as thought one rep over stuffed the machine creating a clog which required a shopvac to correct. As i waited in line for about 30 minutes i noticed that bear that was purchased earlier was regularly $28. I pulled up a copy of the reciept on my phone and noticed i was over charged for the bear by $12. At that time i was told that i had to brimg the bear back to get a pruce adjustment. I explained to the assistant manager that her request was unreasonible as the transaction should have been linked to my account and the cameras in the store could confirm i was present in the store 2 days prior. Understanding my concerns. She then proceeded to call the store.manager for guidance. The stire.manager again told her that i needed the product to make an adjustment. I again reminded her that i did not have acess to the item as i did not live near where the store and the owner did not luve near me either. Eventually i advised the staff thay if i had to i could escalte this pricing issur to HQ as it was not my fault that the product they scanned rang up incorrectly and linked back to a similar product that was previously discontinued. Eventually i recieved a price adjustment and purchased the birthday bear i initially wanted on the first visit. Long stiry short pay close attentiin to the prices and the transaction you may be unknowlingly upsold on gift cards while overpaying for products even when the prices are clearly posted im the store. Buyer beware this store has changed dramatucally over the years and its not in a.good way. Hopefully someone from corportate will contact me to make this right.

We walked in and told the front door associate that our son just turned one and wanted to get a bear for him. She said do xyz, told us to choose a bear, dress up, etc. At the time of payment we got told that this is not the birthday bear. Got charged full price for the one we made anyway because its already made. How would I know I have to say the exact words “birthday bear” if its my first time doing this? If I’m walking in saying my son just turned one and we’re here for the bear, doesn’t that mean I want the birthday one? LOL 🤣🤣

My daughter had the best experience here. Fiorella and Reemal were amazing with her and so helpful and kind. They were so attentive to my daughter and very chatty with her. Even though it was nearing closing time, they didn’t rush us out. They also were very helpful with making sure the accessories we picked matched/worked with the stuffed animal we made. This is a great location.

I took my 3 young children here on Valentines day bc they were off from school and biggest mistake ever. I could tell it was a little busy when I came in but didnt think much of it and it was expected being a holiday. We almost walked out after waiting a half over and only moving once in the line. It was ridiculous. I watched others walk out and who could blame them. It looked as if there were only 3 employees. There was 1 just standing at the dr to greet, 1 who may have been a mgr and at the reg and only 1 doing all the stuffing and helping the kids pick out/record voices. Why would you not have the greeter or the person at the reg when not ringing ppl up help the line go faster and smoother by helping the kids do the bears voice instead of waiting for them to get all the way to the front and hold the line up bc its being done by the same employee who is stuffing stitching and pretty much all the work??!!! Worst experience ever! Definitely waited over 40mins with young children and Im surprised I didnt walk out myself. Then after the kids picked out the animals clothing/accessories i grabbed a pair of sunglasses for my son and as soon as I opened them they fell apart, no big deal grabbed another pair and when I went to check out and waited for someone to come check us out, I think she was the mgr since she told 1 of the girls when to take break, I handed them to her and let her know the 1 pair was broken and didnt want to leave them out and she didnt say a word and her reaction made me feel as tho she wanted to blame my kids even tho my kids were nowhere near them but that was the feeling I got when I gave them to here. She was not friendly at all and seemed disappointed i didnt want to pay extra for a backpack or box that i dont need or want and my kids could care less about. I spent almost $200 there and over an hr you should be giving the lousy boxes out lol. I refused the gc that was pay half for later use bc honestly the experience was so horrible I would never come back or at least not this location! She was rude and i dont even remember her even saying thank you. I get it was busy for them but it didnt have to be a bad experience and they could have made it go way smoother rather than having ppl walk out/not wanting to come back. The girl who did ALL the work was very friendly and should get a raise bc she literally did it all which is why they lost customers and the wait was ridiculous bc no one helped her that I could see. I do want to give credit to her. Too bad the mgr or person in charge couldnt be as nice/friendly since theyre working in a kids store!

Misleading Offers & Unethical Sales Tactics
Date of experience - 01st Feb, 2025
I had a disappointing experience with this store due to their misleading promotions and unethical sales practices.
1. Deceptive Pricing – They advertised an ongoing “Buy for 14” offer, but the actual conditions were unclear and misleading. The final price turned out to be higher than expected.
2. Forced Email Collection – They *force* customers to share their personal email ID to apply promotions, which is not disclosed upfront. If you refuse, they make the discount inapplicable. This feels like a clear strategy to collect personal information rather than a genuine offer.
3. Unethical Cross-Selling to Kids – The most concerning part was their approach to selling accessories to children without parental consent. They directly engaged with my child, encouraging additional purchases, which put us in an uncomfortable position at checkout. We ended up paying much more than intended.
These tactics are unacceptable and create a poor shopping experience. Transparency and ethical selling should be a priority, but sadly, that wasn’t the case here. I wouldn't recommend shopping here unless they change these practices.

TRIED & TESTED! THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE UNDENIABLY TRUE. The lady employee is so sarcastic, off and awkward. I thought we had an isolated case and maybe this lady employee was tired or having a bad day… but reading all these negative reviews validated our negative experience with her.

Came here with my kids and had the most unpleasant associate. She was going through the motions but was rude, short, and awkward throughout the entire process (especially when trying to upsell the scents and sounds) When the bears were done she walked away in the back (I believe she mumbled that it was to do inventory) while we stood and waited for several minutes to pay. Finally another worker finished with her customer and tried to get me to buy a gift card for half price. I nicely told her that due to the first woman’s behavior, I would not be spending any more money in that store. It was my daughter’s birthday and we walked out with 3 bears— I was fully prepared to purchase more and instead left disappointed in the experience. I will say the 2nd worker seemed very pleasant but the attitude of the first one was way too much. I would NOT recommend this location.
