Worst moving experience ever!Word of advice: do not accept the order when it's delivered by Allied Van lines. Accepting the order at delivery invalidates your ability to file for missing items up to 9 months after delivery. It's too late for us to benefit from this information but we want everyone else to know about it. We are missing more items in this out-of-state move than we have ever lost in any other out-of-state move. We are experienced at relocating to different states and have never had so many undelivered "lost" possessions like we've experienced with our move from New Jersey to Florida in April 2023. Just a few things that didn't make it into our house: large flat screen tvbox of collectible candlesticks that have been part of a collection for 40 plus yearsa box of kitchen tools and pansAn excellent quality raised twin size blow up bedA queen size blow up bedA set of European wine glasses that have been in the family for over 70 years We called the Allied main office about all of these missing items and this was when we were informed that if you sign for delivery you've accepted the delivery as is and you have no right to make any claim for missing items. I don't know who can possibly know that everything has been delivered at the time of delivery, we had no idea that you don't have to sign that document. The salesman mentioned that we had nine months to make a claim but of course he neglected to tell us that if we sign for the order we have no rights to make a claim in the future. Our move was farmed out to Reliable moving and they farmed it out to another person from Pennsylvania who told us he was taking the truck with our goods in it to his house before driving down to florida. This gave him plenty of time apparently to go through our things. A call to him resulted in his telling us that he checked with the other people whose things were delivered from the same truck and oh no they don't have anything that isn't theirs. I guess all of these things evaporated into the air. Learn from our mistakes, don't accept your delivery at the time it is delivered. It's very difficult to send spend so much money on a long distance move and lose so many personal things that can't be replaced.Of course I would have given them negative Stars if that was a choice.

We did a cross country move back in November from Oregon to NJ. It seemed like everything was fine and we were told once our furniture and belongings were on the truck, they would stay there until delivered to our new place. For starters, I had packed almost everything myself aside from the obvious like furniture... but as the driver called to say he was coming a day earlier than planned I had not packed one TV and an electonic keyboard piano so he said "no worries" we'll pack those for you.. and off they went. Towards the end of my husband and my drive across the US the agent for Allied called to say that the weight of the load had come in under and we would be getting $150 refund... which by the way did not ever happen. Before we had even arrived at our destination, the driver called to tell us he would be unloading the next day and we had already informed him we would not be in NJ until a certain date. So then he said well then I can't deliver for 3 more days. Now, our belongings were transferred to another truck again... I'm thinking perhaps 3 times. Anyway, after the delivery I was going through everything and a number of boxes were in bad condition, as though they had been thrown around and not cared for... the TV that the movers packed was unusable due to the screen being damaged... the keyboard did not even turn up. So I contacted Allied and was put in touch with their claims dept... I had full coverage... they looked at the photo I sent of the TV and refused to refund the cost of the new one that had to be purchased because they said "it was an electronic malfunction"... wow... and they could tell that from a picture. Then I explained about the keyboard that was never delivered so they allegedly contacted the driver who said that everything was delivered and then was told that because my husband and I had "packed those items" ourselves they were not covered. That was an out and out lie because the driver and his team packed them but I guess they "forgot" to add that information on their report. I did not even bother trying to claim for all the smashed items that were in boxes. So I'm out $300 for the new TV, over $250 for a replacement electronic piano, around $100 or more for broken crockery, the $150 never-received-refund and a bedcover that I had wrapped around an already padded Kitchen Aide mixer that ended up covered with oil because obviously they threw that about in the truck too when I had written on the packing box "this end up please". The cost to transport our goods was $13,000... and they didn't even have the decency to acknowledge, that we as clients/customers would not be complaining or expecting compensation if everything was ideal and our belongings arrived safely. We have another move to make at the end of this year... absolutely well be steering clear of this company!

The broker didn’t reveal they were a broker. Once paid they stop communicating, said they would call me back and never did. The movers just threw my stuff in the box. My stuff was in storage while I looked for a place moving from VA to NY and by the time I realized belonging were damaged it was past the 90 day mark. Highly do not recommend. Poor communication too.

Paid 75k to have Allied move our home and 2 cars cross country from CA to CT. Crated one of a kind mirrors cracked, custom furniture soiled and broken, appliances and exercise equipment broken, Miele vacuum parts missing. I’ve been fighting with them for 3 months now to refund me +$4100 to replace. Completely unprofessional service. I would not recommend them.

I decided to reach out to Allied as Forbes ranked them #1 for long-distance movers. I worked with Lori Sabbatino (Brandon Transfer & Storage) and had a wonder experience. Lori visited us at home, and was extremely thorough and efficient during her survey. I received clear and detailed inventory sheet and quote within a few hours. Lori was very transparent with pricing. Because Allied and Brandon are full-service moving companies, it will cost a bit more than PODS or other container shipping companies, however labor (packing and loading) is included so we don’t have to worry about the hassle or cost of hiring additional helpers/movers. Ask for Lori if you live in NY too for excellent service.

Terrible, unreliable moving company. Took an extra month to deliver and charged us double. Never responded to calls about reporting damage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Do not hire Allied Van Lines or any of its affiliates. They will destroy all of your stuff and then do anything and everything they can to try to get out of taking responsibility. Trust me. If you want to destroy your belongings, just save yourself thousands of dollars and set your stuff on fire instead of paying Allied to destroy it for you. Listen to the people who have posted one star reviews. The scumbags in the claims department are extremely combative and rude. They try to make the process as difficult as possible so they wont have to take responsibility for their negligence. JUST STAY AWAY!

Horrible service. Driver calls me close to 10pm at night informing we are his first pick up and we should expect from 8am-9am. After informing him our storage doesn’t open until 9:30 he insists the gate works and we should be ok. After agreeing to 8:30am, my wife is then stuck at the storage since they don’t open until 9:30am, then he never shows up. Called him at 9:30am and he said he’s 45mins away. Instead of apologizing he said”there’s traffic what do you want me to do?” How about you call your customer and inform you’re running late instead of having them look for you. He didn’t like what I said so he then hangs up the phone on me. Such professional service. Do not bother to use them. By the way the driver never showed up. Thumbs down.

Used this moving company beginning of March 2021 (yay Covid). To be honest I used Nationwide Moving who in turn contracted out this company to take care of my move. All right now brace yourselves because this baby is gonna be long.TLDR: The company lacks communication to a painful degree and some of their employees were very careless about Covid guidelines blocking them from doing the work that I had basically paid them for. When I first got the moving company , I went over their info online and only after booking them, I noticed there were a bunch of shill accounts praising them. I see way less now, but be informed they have done that and they may again. Don't take their 5 star ratings for granted. That stuff is cooked up I can guarantee it.The issues I had with them moving out was that they were incredibly late and lacked communication. They had said they would arrive sometime between 12-3PM and ended up coming at 7. Now this would be okay with me had they communicated properly. But they called in the morning telling me they'd be a couple hours late, I asked them if that can be changed because I'm on a time crunch, get a call back saying they'd be there at 3:30. After that, mostly radio silence, with the exception of one late call where they picked up giving me puppy eyes telling me they were looking for me and were just about to call. After some fighting words thrown at me for complaining how unacceptable this is, they told me they'd be there at 6 and the radio silence began. What broke that radio silence was a random text from the moving driver at 6:30 telling me that he'd be there in thirty minutes. When the movers arrived I spoke with him and he explained the whole situation. It wasn't his fault, and they were actually very nice, very caring of our stuff and just cool people. But the way the office treated the situation was really beyond me.Now for the move in, let's give credit where credit's due, they came in a lot quicker than initially estimated. Sadly this ain't worth a damn compared to all the miscommunication and shenanigans they pulled off. So they come early and the guy comes up to me, no mask, and is doing paperwork. After he goes down to start unloading with his other moving boy, I go down with a pouch of masks offering them and asking them if it would be okay if they wore some when they came into the apartment. They refused vehemently. All these excuses about how they need to breathe coz they're doing heavy lifting, how were in Texas now and he can do whatever he wants about Covid... You get the idea. After some back and forth and some Covid indoctrination attempts, I tell them they are not welcome in my home and my property without wearing a mask and call the moving company tell them what's up. They said they would take care of it and call back. Now, what they did was, they called the moving boss who was in their team spoke their mother tongue, told them to instruct the guys before me to wear a mask and never informed me. I just found that out two days later. So the movers being little bing bongs decided to just be there. I asked them if they got any calls their answer was no. So we sat there for a good minute (this was anywhere between thirty minutes to an hour) staring each other. Eventually I just wanted these special boys out of my face so I told them to just bring everything outside the apartment door and leave. So they never really got to rebuild my furniture, and they never really brought and unpacked everything inside. So yeah save yourself the stress and despair that is Allied Van Lines.PS. To Allied Van Lines: Don't bother sending me a generic apology message of any sort. It will make you look even more fake, disgusting and sad than you already are.

Paul Franchi was great in providing a proposal and setting up the move. We had four movers who all worked very hard. A couple of items were not installed 100% correctly, but Mr. Franchi offered to send men back to make these corrections. This is the 3rd move we've done with Allied.

We called, scheduled & confirmed our move TWICE! But, DAY OF while looking for our pick up time, we were told ‘you’re not on the schedule’ and in the most sarcastic, sad, single lady with a cat tone we were told ‘ugh, I don’t know what to tell you’.... (even with a work order # & confirmation) The answer wasn’t ‘how can we fix this’ just, ‘tough nuts’Now, we’re left scrambling to get our stuff moved & stored from New York to North Carolina A DAY BEFORE new owners get keys to our house... stranded... it will now cost us double IF we can find a last minute long haul mover...Thanks for nothing Carl & Nicole - just, awful customer service & communicationGo elsewhere!I don’t want to see this happen to another family!

This company is nationally run, but on a local level, extremely unprofessional. I spoke to a representative Jonathan Monico that was extremely unprofessional. He spoke down to me in a very condescending attitude and was completely in-flexible. Spend your money elsewhere.
