“It's a shame that all GNCs around me have closed down, so I was really excited to see this location at the Mills Mall. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an associate Li who asked if I was looking for something specific. I had informed him I was just browsing around. Eventually I did come up with some questions that Li was very knowledgeable about, and everything I picked up was followed by some wonderful insight from this associate. I think GNC is a wonderful company, but customer service like this is why I would go out of my way to come back. Highly recommend”

“Stopped by to buy dried fruit for my goddaughter. Was coming from Brooklyn and Tastebud’s Natural Food market was on my way.
The energy was so pleasant ? Everyone was super nice and warm.
They have a very good selection in store ? had a warm conversation with Zober ?

Definitely recommend if you are looking for a descent food.
They even have incense sticks, candles, books… so lovely!”

I am the customer that the Newark Whole Foods manager assisted and am addressing the inaccuracies in Christopher Williams’ recent review. As a regular customer of this store, I feel it is important to provide an accurate account of what transpired and to acknowledge the professionalism demonstrated by the Whole Foods staff.
During my visit, I was in the spice aisle and saw Mr. Williams browsing the shelves. I patiently waited for him to finish before moving forward with my basket. I made sure my basket was out of the way and positioned myself to allow others to shop comfortably. Once Mr. Williams moved away, I approached the spices but maintained a considerate distance, giving him plenty of space.
Shortly after, Mr. Williams returned to the spice aisle. Instead of allowing us both to shop respectfully, he positioned himself directly in front of me, blocking my access. I wasn't sure if he saw me or not so I calmly and politely said, "Excuse me," hoping to share the space without any issue. When he did not respond, I gently said, "Hello?" to ensure he heard me. His immediate reaction was to give me a dismissive side-eye and accuse me of not speaking nicely, which was not the case. I reiterated that I had spoken to him politely and suggested that we could both look at the spices without obstructing each other.
At this point, Mr. Williams' demeanor shifted dramatically. He began to yell, curse, and direct verbal abuse toward me. His language was inappropriate, and his volume drew the attention of other shoppers. I maintained my composure and responded by raising my hand, saying, "I am fasting," because it is the month of Ramadan, and as Muslims, we are not supposed to get angry or engage in this kind of behavior. Becoming angry could potentially break our fast. I then walked away, hoping to diffuse the situation. However, as I moved away, he continued to shout obscenities and insults.
His continued aggression led me to seek assistance from the customer service desk. I explained the situation to the cashier, who promptly called the manager. When the manager arrived, I recounted the incident, emphasizing that I had not responded with anger or disrespect despite the man's harassment. The manager reassured me that Whole Foods does not tolerate such behavior and asked me to discreetly identify Mr. Williams, which I did.

I want to highlight that the Whole Foods team member handled this situation with exceptional professionalism. He addressed Mr. Williams calmly and fairly, explaining that if I had been the aggressor, he would have addressed me in the same manner. At no point did the manager exhibit aggression or use inappropriate language, as Mr. Williams falsely claimed in his review. Instead, the manager maintained a respectful and measured approach, handling the situation, while upholding store policy.
It is disappointing to see Mr. Williams' attempt to reverse the narrative and disparage a dedicated employee. His portrayal of the events is not only untrue but also unfair to the Whole Foods team member who acted with integrity and care. I believe it is important to share the truth of this encounter to preserve the employee’s good reputation and to reinforce that Whole Foods remains a safe and welcoming environment for all customers.
I am deeply grateful for the support I received from the Whole Foods staff member. His quick and fair handling of the situation ensured that I could continue my shopping without fear or discomfort. His actions are a testament to the store’s commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere.”

“Just leaving here-was very surprised there weren't already reviews on this place however, it's all good since that's what I'm here for (lol)!! In any case, I called here earlier to see if they had a particular protein powder I was looking for. I usually go to "Vitamin Shop", however they didn't have the flavor I was looking for and decided to give this place a shot. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly in checking to make sure they had what I was looking for-and of course they did. Once I got there, the person working there whose name was "Christopher" was helping another customer and upon observing, was very helpful in giving useful information to another gentleman who seemed like he was taking protein for the first time. After he was done, I asked him about the product I was looking for and he automatically remembered me from calling. Afterwards, he completed my order and signed me up for the rewards program. I gave this place 5*s because "Chris" knocked the customer service aspect out the park from the Phone call to helping me through my transaction (give the man a raise)! Additionally, the store was very clean and conveniently located in a shopping plaza around other stores with plenty of parking. I highly recommend this store if you have health questions and just looking to live a better lifestyle all around!”

“1200 stores closed! They went bankrupt from what the employee told me, but a lot of independently owned franchises are still open. The Lyndhurst store is gone after 20 years! The store in Belleville says closed if you look it up! What a shame! They send your order by mail for free if it's not in stock in the store. The employees were always very helpful and patient. I'm sorry to see all those stores closed and people that lost thier jobs. I will still go to the stores that are open though, and hopefully they will recover and be around for a while.”

“Has everything you need. From protein powders to prostate pills. Gnc will offer you your basic nutritional needs, this one is no different. The staff is friendly knowledgeable more so on gnc products because they get trained to know more about their brand and always suggest them. However most are somewhat educated on the other products that they have in stock. Inventory is always stocked and they will even order online and mail it to you if out of stock or check the database to see if a nearby location has any on hand. They also have monthly promotions mainly bogo's. If your a beginner, a serious fitness fanatic, or just need some muti vitamins this location should be able to meet your needs. Will add they are a little on the pricey side but most vitamins store are, hey you pay for convince.”
