Very happy with my experience with Schumacher. I requested service the day prior and they were professional and prompt, scheduling me for the following morning. The price was lower than their competitors and the service was great. I highly recommend their services.

Shipment from New York to Italy went as planned perfect in all respects. What I was most pleased about was the availability timeliness and guidance that Daniel and Thibaut provided me. Shipping and Moving is a multi step process which has many variables that come along with it. During the whole process both Daniel and Thibaut were next to me and would reply to my requests for assistance normally within a HALF AN HOUR. Something which I find extraordinary . Dedication and attention to the customer which makes Schumacher Cargo stand apart from others. SCL thanks to Daniel and Thibaut is for me the BEST. THANK YOU!!!

I had a bittersweet experience with Schumacher Cargo Logistics, for a move from NYC to Europe. The pick up team was very professional and skilled. They packed up our belongings properly and quickly. My representative was helpful and responsive during the whole process. However, when in Europe, things did not well at all. The logistics company they partnered with was horrible to deal with, missed delivery a few times and made me miss a family funeral. I was really disappointed by the lack of support from SCL at the time, they just went radio silent and never helped me with my situation despite numerous emails and phone calls.

I shipped 2 classic cars with them in 2019, from LA to Italy, and everything was smooth. In Dec 2021 I agreed another shipment of 2 classic cars which they quoted +37% compared to 2019. I accepted. In March 2022 they received the cars with 1 month delay on schedule and they invoiced another $1,900 bringing to total shipment at 100% increase compared to 2019. I paid. They shipped the cars in May 2022, with 3 months delay, then in July they invoiced another $2,450 saying that “the line delayed the container causing rollover and demurrage fees”. I went to my lawyer that confirmed that "the invoice issued on 1 July 2022 by the Agent is inaccurate and not in compliance with federal regulations (Section 41104 Subsection (f) of Title 46 of the U.S. Code)." he also informed the Federal Maritime Commission. Will go to court if Schumacher don't cancel the invoice. Very bad experience.

Excellent service and care! My move from UK was organized through MOVEWISE and SCHMACHER Rep took it up when cargo arrived in NY. Both companies made this emotional move so stress free. I didn’t have to worry about Where my stuff was and How it would get to me. I would high recommend!

PART 1 of 2 - We have had a very, very complex move between USA-CAN-UK. We booked SCL for our US-UK move on December 22nd and there was a massive snowstorm set to hit the East Coast that day that completely halted all travel and caused the border to be shut down. Chris L worked super fast to switch our packing date to a day earlier which was above & beyond, and greatly appreciated so we could safely drive our UHaul back to Canada (home country) while we awaited our UK visas. On December 21st, Stefan and his SCL crew arrived on time and were very professional, courteous, and considerate of packing our household belongings. The little things like the crew wearing SCL uniforms, their friendliness, and superb packaging didn't go unnoticed. Super fast too! Very impressed and reassured our belongings were handled with care. We originally dealt with Chris L for understanding the shipping process and obtaining a quote. He spent over 2-hours (2 separate phone calls) to answer our questions and walk through what to expect. Very patient! He also understood the challenges we had with obtaining a UK visa due to the UK prioritizing Ukraine visas and agreed to let us store our belongings a little longer given the Covid delays and unpredictability across the globe. Again, above & beyond. That is very, very rare these days in business and in general when everyone seems to be nickel and diming. We never, ever felt this way with Chris. We felt like we could trust him and really appreciated his direct approach and time. Our quote was reasonably assessed. We paid approximately $1600 more than originally quoted since we opted in to full insurance coverage and also had 100 extra cubic feet than originally thought. The price was laid out to us clearly beforehand. I highly recommend reading every single detail of the information that SCL emails you and spending time on their website. Some people on these reviews complain heavily about extra costs, but we always felt there was transparency and had a quick, satisfactory response about our shipment size - we also know some boxes of ours were awkward sizes (e.g., mattress, dresser) and may take up more space on a pallet. We have since been transferred to Thibaut regarding our shipment and he has been very responsive to our inquiries and very friendly. He calls back or emails right away and we have never felt ignored or ghosted as many people have reported about this company. This has not been our experience at all and we actually feel very supported and cared for by SCL given we have never done this before and it is such an overwhelming process. Of course we have a lot of questions and Thibaut and Chris have always answered them and been super kind to us and patient. I've never felt like an inconvenience with my questions and that goes such a long way for such a big and complex move. Given the global reach and amount of shipping this company does, it is unrealistic to expect in-the-moment answers, so patience does go a long way as a customer. The only rude person I came across was the receptionist that picked up the phone who said she was at the LA location. She spoke in a very rude, unnecessary condescending tone before I could even get my question out. I didn't take it personally though since I am not a rude person, and perhaps she was having an off day as many of us are these days. Naturally we are a bit nervous and anxious about when we will see our belongings again and what extra fees or delays we may incur based on the reviews. I will provide PART 2 of my review upon arrival of and inspection of my belongings after unpacked when in the UK. So far, we are very happy with the service and respect we have received from Chris, Thibaut, and Stefan. Great guys! I hope it continues! Thank you very much!

If you want your things moved and then to be charged for items that you did not have moved, and harassed until you pay their made up invoices, then go with Schumacher! Schumacher moved our things, sent me the paperwork, I promptly paid the agreed invoice and I thought this was a good service. Later, out of the blue, they started harassing me with INCESSANT emails claiming that I now owed them a large sum of money and that if I didn't pay them, they'd send it to collections. As I clearly did not owe them money, and had promptly paid their initial invoice, I stood my ground. When I got a letter from a collections agency, I let them know that they had taken on a fraudulent case from Schumacher and they left me alone. Several months later, Schumacher is at it again. I assume that they get lots of suckers who don't look at their bills and just pay them whatever they demand to get them off their back and in fear that collections may affect their credit score.Schumacher do move your things, but they also scam you, mafia style, into paying them more than the original agreed cost of the shipping, AFTER they already shipped your things. They are very nice and friendly until that time. They will work with your overseas shipping partner in the same way. If you go with this company, expect to pay at least double what they originally quoted you, AFTER they ship your items and you've paid their original invoice, or accept being harassed until you pay them whatever they randomly demand. This company is run by fraudsters who tack on bogus charges to your shipping and then harass their customers until they give up and pay. BEWARE!!!I initially tried explaining to them that we'd already paid them, but they just keep demanding more and become very rude and pushy. Now, I just ignore their bully emails, after a couple of years, but they will still try unless you take legal action against them, which I have not had the time or energy to do. I have peace of mind knowing that I have done my part and paid them the original agreed price. It's much cheaper in the long run to sell your things in the other country and buy new ones in the new country you move to. I now know, from experience and from speaking with others, that these international shipping companies are all alike. If your items aren't broken when you get them, you will be harassed to pay them more than the agreed cost, after all their pleasantries. Don't be fooled!

They raised their prices (more than double) without giving customers any heads up. It’s fine if you raise your prices, but you should let people know beforehand. That’s just basic courtesy.

We booked our removal with a U.K. company that is working with Schumacher cargo logistics in the US, and all trouble comes from Schumacher. We moved from London to New York and were told that the maximum the sea shipment option would take is 11 weeks (and it's usually done within 6-9 weeks even with Corona being around). It's been 14 weeks now and it seems to take another 2 weeks until we receive our shipment. In addition to the delays, we were given a quote and were told that unless more boxes are added, or we need our goods to be stored anywhere, or the delivery is above the first floor everything was covered. That was also a lie, we have received the second bill by now with things like "lift costs" and "COI costs" which is just ridiculous. We also had to pay for the delay of our shipment??The person we are communicating with is not responsive at all, they ignored some emails even after the 3rd follow up. Only once I included higher management I got an answer. This is such a tedious and frustrating experience that I want to share it openly to make others aware. We will certainly never book this company again and avoid any other companies that work with them.

I've been waiting for my shipment since June. The first indication of a problem was when they messed up the move date and time. Luckily the local company taking my things from Florida to New York were flexible. They hardly give any instructions for the documentation required. I had to finally go back to the sales team to get any help. The coordinator doesn't keep you updated. When you ask how long it will take they either don't get back to you or give you a non-answer. It's like pulling teeth to get any information from them. This cost over $5K for 30 boxes. Would not use them again.

I had a good experience with Schumacher Cargo (SCL) for the US leg of the shipment from the UK. Please note that I wasn't in a hurry to get the shipment so delays were not of particular concern. Therefore, your mileage may vary. SCL personnel kept me informed throughout about the date range of delivery to make sure I was home after I filled out the form describing delivery environment (no complications for me). The delivery driver kept in communication to let me know time of arrival and everything went smoothly. The part that may be upsetting to some is that there are local/US handling fees but that wasn't significant in my case. So best to check with your main shipper about handling fees at port of delivery.

I wish i could give negative stars. We moved from the UK to Boston. The shipping company we worked with in the UK (Pickfords) was very nice and transparent about the delays in shipping due to the shipping container crisis. When our stuff arrived here in the US, management of our stuff swapped over to Schumacher. I was informed in advance that it would be a different company managing the US side but we were never informed of which company would be managing our move on the US and would never had agreed to it if i had read any of the other terrible reviews Schumacher has on yelp. What others reviewers have been saying reflects our experience. They lied about how long customs would take (they said 1-3 weeks and it ended up being 6 weeks) and now they are just holding my stuff for the fun of it. Their customer service is awful. They have added additional charges to our bill and now I have paid nearly $1300 more and still dont have my stuff and its been over four months. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

We were overcharged by the company without option for the delivery other than to "get it delivered in a Walmart parking lot" with them stating they could not gain access to our property with their truck, when this was not true there was over 200 ft of space. The truck that showed up was very large and it was not a "shuttle truck" but despite being very large the truck had plenty of space to park and unload. Per our contract the service should have included access and unwrapping but the delivery personnel did not unwrap the items or dispose of packing materials per our contract. All communication from them favors the company in terms of delivery and not the customer in every way. It felt like extortion and I would not use them again.
