“On 1/2/26, we noticed that our five-year-old dog, Lexi, wasn’t herself and that something seemed off. We took her to our veterinarian at Willowbrook Animal Hospital in Fairfield, NJ, where she was seen by Dr. Ilka Bott-Wentworth (Dr. BW). After examining Lexi, Dr. BW told us that she had injured her back. She prescribed medication and advised us to monitor her closely.

By 1/6/26, we noticed that Lexi had begun dragging her back right paw. We immediately reached out to Dr. BW, who recommended that we take her to Eclipse Emergency Hospital. Throughout this time, Dr. BW constantly checked on Lexi and truly went above and beyond her duties as a veterinarian. She also communicated with Eclipse Hospital and checked on Lexi. Dr. BW spoke with the doctors there to see how she was doing.

I would highly recommend our veterinarian, Dr. Ilka Bott-Wentworth. If it weren’t for her quick action and dedication, Lexi could have been paralyzed if we had waited. The care and love she showed Lexi were truly above and beyond expectations. We will forever be indebted to Dr. BW. ?”
