“From start to finish, this office is a phenomenal opportunity for pets and their humans! Starting wth Dawn at reception, to Christina, then to Dr. Ruiz our Ophelia was treated like a queen. She’s normally “spicy “ and I warned Dawn about it, and she reassured me they’re used to it! We brought “Miss Baby Ma’am” into the exam room and Christina and Dr. Ruiz worked their magic! Doc was able to give “Baby Ma’am” her distemper booster as well as her antibiotic. They are so kind and caring for all their patients and they will see Ophelia again! We were expecting a “used car payment “ bill at the end, and I was in shock it was less than what I expected!”

“This past year has been one of the hardest for our family, as our 13-year-old dog, Lucky, has been battling cancer. Through it all, this veterinary office has been nothing short of incredible. The entire staff has gone above and beyond to help us navigate every step of this journey, always focusing on what will help Lucky live his best life. Their compassion, patience, and genuine care have meant more to us than we can ever fully express. They take the time to answer every question, support every decision, and treat Lucky like he is their own—even though he might be the worst patient ever! 😊 We are so grateful for the kindness and dedication they show every single day. “We brought our dog here after he was diagnosed with Stage 3 lymphoma. We started him on a chemotherapy protocol after much discussion about different types and what type of outcome they may have. I have worked in oncology research for the last 12 years, so I am very well versed in chemo protocols and lymphoma treatment and plans, and they had many options to choose from based on his expected outcome (which was poor because he had a T cell lymphoma which is very aggressive). We went to the clinic weekly, got to know the techs and staff very well. I understand that since this is also an Emergency clinic, people do not always have the best outcomes, but we had nothing but a great experience. Our dog was happy to visit his new friends, and he was treated so well. I was able to have honest and thorough conversations with the doctors (because of my background I had a lot of questions and experiences), and they always took the time to have a discussion with me. The place is so busy, especially in the oncology side, and I hadn't spoken to one person there who had had a bad experience either. Unfortunately, we lost our dog after he relapsed twice, but he made it two more months without treatment, and had a high quality of life. The doctors at AERA always kept in touch with my regular vet, so he always knew what our status was, and after we had to make the difficult decision that it was time, our vet called AERA to let the staff know. We immediately received a phone call from Dr. Alsarraf expressing her sympathy. She had said to me at one of our visits for treatment, that our pup was the happiest guy she ever met. It meant a lot that they could reach out during that time, even though we hadn't seen them in a couple of months. I could go on and on, but if you are local to the area, and are dealing with a cancer diagnosis, I think this is an amazing place to end up.”
