We shopped here in December looking for Christmas gifts. They offered discounts for signing up for rewards. What they didn't mention was that we were signing up for a paid membership (backstage pass) and 4 magazines subscriptions we did not want. This place is a total scam. Enter at your own risk and only bring cash if you do.

This company is absolutely robbing customers blind with there ridiculous prices on there items especially there Neca line I as a advid horror figure collector who has been collecting and selling on eBay for twenty plus years know the prices of these items and fye is selling there products for $40 over price then what they are worth ! Even the Neca website is selling them for way less ! I emails customer support they had no explanation as to why this is! Me and a couple friends walked into the store and as soon as we went in there he told some of his employees to follow us around. After a little bit of looking around the store he walked up to security and told them to watch us. Eventually he walked up to us and accused us of messing with the clothes when we did nothing wrong so he kicked us out and called security on us. When security confronted us they told us that the manager said that we were screaming and causing a scene when we were doing nothing but looking around. 1 star do not go here it's overpriced and $34 for a record is absurd

Charged me for a membership I never signed up to and I told them I did not want to. But if you use a credit card the employees will sign you up and you will be charged a monthly backstage membership charge

Total Rip-Off, avoid this store at all costs.
Shopped here on 12.7.2024, rep asked me if I wanted 10% off for providing my email, I said Yes. Rep. then started to ask other personal questions which sounded like I was applying for a credit card.
When I asked why she needed personal information she stated that she signed me up for the FYE VIP club, which I promptly refused, since I was only in the store to purchase a few things.
The rep. then said that it was too late and that I would have to call the VIP membership number to cancel since she had already processed the membership. I told the rep. that it was the holiday season, and I really didn't want that task, so I returned everything that I purchased, demanded a refund receipt, and re-purchased the items with a new receipt, without the FYE VIP membership, which they provided.
Now, I'm reviewing my bank account and I have a pending charge for $11.99 for a membership that they cancelled within two minutes after signing me up, for something that I never requested.
As a result, I had to call the FYE membership number and the store back to express my grievance once again. This is a total scam by this store and the managers there should be totally held accountable for this practice.
Congratulations on your 1 STAR review as a result. I wasn't going to leave any review, but after looking at the first review that popped up, this apparently is a common practice at this store that needs to be documented.
Will NOT be shopping at any FYE locations ever again.

Cashiers are deceiving customers with the fye membership by not disclosing information for their own gain

Absolutely terrible business. I went there and was told by the cashier that I get three magazines with my purchase and to choose the three that I want. So I chose three, she put something into my bag, handed it to me, and I went about my day. I had no idea that I was UNWILLINGLY signed up for a reocurring magazine membership through FYE. Nobody told me this, nobody gave me any information on such a program, and I was arguably scammed into it without my knowledge or consent. I have been getting charged monthly for this without knowing it and even after trying several times to cancel it, they are still taking my money. Speaking to costumer support is useless as they tell you to call the magazine company directly for any billing issues, yet the charges on my card are from FYE. Absolutely scummy business will never go there again and warn everyone I know away from it.

Most of the other reviews pretty much covered it. The magazine scam is insane. It’s very frustrating and complicated to cancel. I was pressured into signing up for it under the impressions that it came with no extra charges and that it would give me a discount. If you insist on shopping here- pay cash and don’t give these people your email or your card info. Just buy vinyl from a local shop at this point.

Don’t even bother with this garbage store. Not shocking they have mostly 1 star reviews. Don’t let them fool you into getting their backstage pass or whatever scam it is. They don’t disclose they’ll start charging your card every month. Stay away from these losers.

Do not shop here! I used to shop here when I was younger and always thought it was a cool place. Unfortunately I brought my two youngest children here just to pick him up some entertainment type gifts for Christmas and I was asked if I wanted to sign up for the FYE backstage pass program. I was told by the system person behind the counter that it would give me money off you sure purchases, pretty much like every Shopper card out there these days. I was recently made aware that the card cost $11 and change every month. I wasn't told there would be any cost. They are intentionally scamming their customers. I looked my situation up online and I am not the only one. The fact is there are a lot of people who were not informed they would be charged, which changes this from a bad employee to an actual scam by the company. I've tried to conta live person who could actually help at customer service multiple times and have still not been able to get my money back or even have my participation in this fraudulent program canceled.

It's a scam. Don't shop here. They try to get you to sign up for a VIP thing and it is just a scam. Also check your receipt!

Young, blonde, female cashier signed me up for their rewards program but failed to tell me I’d be charged after 30 days with the credit card I used to make my purchase.

Cashier told me she can give me 10% off if I signed up with the store, but didn’t tell me that there is a monthly fee. She also told me I get 3 “free” magazines with the sign up and I asked her multiple times if the magazines are actually free… she said yes. The next morning, I had a charge on my account from time magazine and when I called the magazine’s customer service, they told me that it was a pre-authorization charge so they can charge me another subscription in addition to the subscription the cashier didn’t tell me about.
