Don't spend money at JC Penny. I bought 6 pants on a Black Friday sale. Xersion Brand which I can't find anywhere else, the only really think fleece sweatpants I know with ties that don't break if you take too deep a breath that fit my long torso frame. They mailed me 5 of those pants and the wrong item with the right item's label. I called and told them ship me the correct pants and next week if I'm in the Freehold area to go to Sams, I'll drop the shirt. The require me to drive 12 miles to go hunt down the pants I want in store and then make the exchange. I was in the hospital last Monday, not happening. And they will not let me send them proof they screwed up. I said email...1980s...are they 35 years behind in tech that I can't send proof? I'm not required to return the shirt or pay for shipping, and then have not fulfilled their contract...if I was petty and it were worth the time, I could sue. They tell me if I refuse to go to the store I can mail them the item if I want to, that's $8 for shipping, even though they sent the wrong item, and labeled it wrong. I never ended a customer service exchange with AYFKM?

Got there first thing in morning to return two pair of men's pants (not well made). There was already someone at the return line, who seemed to be an employee. She was chatting up a storm with the single return person. She had 5 or so items to return. I added if there was someone else who could wait on me or if could take it to cashier right outside door, who had nothing to do. The answer was a resounding no!! I waited 15 minutes. When the chatty return lady finally waited on she she didn't have the grace to apologize for the long wait. The items they sell are not of high quality and the service is dreadful.

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. I CAN SEE WHY THIS STORE IS THE NEXT BB TO CLOSE. YOU CAN'T GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. CORP OFFICERS IN PLANO, TX MUST HAVE NASA AND THE CIA GUARDING THEIR EMAILS OR CONTACT POINT. HERE'S MY STORY: I am e-mailing you for some assistance, or a shoulder to cry on. I purchased a Mattress at your Freehold, NJ store on May 26th, 2023 (my 72nd Birthday). I was told by the sales rep that I would receive a ship date within a couple of days and then a Delivery date. I was notified a week later that my mattress was shipped. Another week went by and I was notified I would be contacted. I waited and additional week and on June 13th made some inquiries as to were my mattress is. I was told to contact ARIA Trucking for delivery. I called them that same day(6/13) and spoke to Diego (800) 631-1895. He told me my mattress will arrive 6/16/23 (tomorrow). I also informed him at the time that I am only home after 9:30AM, I take my wife for chemo and therapy on alternating mornings. I received a message on my home phone today and it was from ARIA stating my mattress will be delivered tomorrow between the house of 8AM and 10AM. OOOPS... I guess the above readers digest version goes bye-bye. I'm not home until 9:30 daily. Now here's the kicker....... I called ARIA and spoke to Diego again and he was unable to give me a Delivery date. That's funny, they schedule out of his office AND HE WAS UNABLE TO SECURE A DELIVERY DATE OR SUITABLE TIME. Interesting. I called your customer service dept a short while ago at (800) 442-7902 and after explaining myself I was put on hold for 18 minutes while the person who was suppose to help me out COULD NOT. He did offer to REFUND me my purchase. So let's understand what just transpired. I either do it ARIA's way or ask for a REFUND. So it's easier to REFUND my $$ than accommodate a delivery time. I do not want a refund I want the MATTRESS I purchased. AS OF NOW NO CONTACT, NO ONE ANSWER'S THE PHONE NOT EVEN THE OPERATOR AND ALL CALL'S TO 800 #'SDO NOTHING. WHAT A SCAM COMPANY.....

Store was clean. Staff was extremely rudes. There were some items that were on a clearence rack that did not have a sticker. I asked if they could do a price check and said the price is on the tag. Then at checkout I used a JCPenny gift card and the women said I was unable to because it had nothing on it. I asked her to run it again and it went through. She did not bag my merchandise so I asked her for a bag and she had me bag it.

Not wanting another hole blown into their anchor store headcount during the pandemic, Simon Malls bailed JC Penney out of bankruptcy to the tune of almost $2B in 2020. From the looks of things maybe they shouldn't have bothered. The store looks like a time warp from 1985 with absolutely no investment in making their shopping experience remotely contemporary. Lighting is interrogation room harsh and you'll have much better luck finding your size on the floor. The place is a mess. Only the few remaining Sears stores look more funereal.It's Simple Simon, update this sarcophagus or prepare to write it all off. Not good.
