“If you love fresh salad bars, the ShopRite in Garwood has the BEST. I recently moved from Florida back to NJ after seven years and visited eight grocery stores in search of a good salad bar. ShopRite in Garwood is the clear winner, including other area ShopRites, Kings, and ACME. The manager, Dilan, prepares an amazing assortment of perfectly grilled vegetables, and there are so many salad ingredients and choices laid out around the bar. The store is well-stocked with the usual household items, and while more expensive than the Publix chain in Florida, competitively priced for NJ. I would have given it five stars, but the dog food selection is mediocre.”
“Always clean and well stocked. You can find unique items here that you can't find at other stores. Prices are mixed, some things more expensive, but some things are also cheaper than other places.”
“This is really a great supermarket with a clean environment and tidy shelves. The meat section is also very clean, and most importantly, the variety of products is extremely comprehensive! There are plenty of discounts, and I really like it here! The parking lot is also very large, making it very convenient.”
“I had an issue with the coconut spears in coconut water with pineapple syrup . It was the last jar on the shelf , it looked fine but when I bit the spear it was sour rotting an tasted a little like alcohol anyway I can get my money back or another jar when it’s restocked ?”

The roll was delicious/ fresh as they let me pick it out myself and my sandwich was great. I’ll definitely come back if I’m in the area.”
“This is a great store. I've been using it for about a year since I moved to this area. Staff are friendly. However, can the manager please tell the cashiers to remind everyone that each register has a line! Or perhaps you could put a sign? I used to go to the one in Union (which is much busier) but the cashiers always made announcements that each register had a line. Thank you.”
“I ordered an Italian cheese steak and it was too seasoned and salty that I couldn’t finish it after a few bites. However, the meat portion and size of the sandwich I would go back but ask them not to put the seasoning. I don’t think it is terrible I just had that one experience and it was nice and clean inside. Which is why I gave it 4 stars.”

“I’ve been shopping at food bazaar for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The store is always clean, well-organized, and stocked with a wide variety of products. Whether I’m looking for fresh produce, pantry staples, or unique specialty items, I know I can count on food bazaar to have what I need.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They go out of their way to make sure you have a positive shopping experience, and I’ve even had employees recommend products I didn’t know I needed!
The store also offers great prices, and I love that they have regular promotions and discounts. The quality of their meat and produce is top-notch, and I appreciate that they source local products when possible.
I also like the layout of the store—it’s easy to find what I’m looking for, and the self-checkout option is quick and convenient. I’ve never had a long wait in line, which is a big plus for me.

“My frequent go-to for tacos in Bloomfield. The carnitas are not shredded but instead tender chunks, with just the right density and a lovely crispy outside. Always very flavorful. Cilantro, onions, a little lemon - consistent, affordable, and very delish.I also recommend the birria tacos that they serve on occasion, but you may want to call ahead to confirm as I believe it's not a daily item.I'll update with pictures as soon as I have the patience to not inhale my food immediately. “I've been coming to Scotty's for years and have known the owner for a long time. The recent renovations have made the store even nicer and the place is always spotless and well organized. They have a great selection of Italian foods and deli items, and I'm a big fan of their pre-made salads. My wife shops here all the time too! If you're looking for friendly service and quality products, Scotty's is the place to go. Highly recommended!”

“I was just going to drop off a package for UPS, which is inside this great market. Then I saw the excellent Produce section and the Hair Care section, realizing this is the closest I've been to a 1-stop shopping place. They have a vast selection for every item one could need or want. And the prices are not bad at all (the 18-count cage-free brown eggs carton is $4.99 today). Better yet is the friendly and professional care given me by Miguela, the Customer Service Representative. She helped me with an exchange after a brief return/exchange store policy explanation, then promptly rang other items I picked. Please commend her on my behalf. Certainly I will be back here soon... ???”

“Been going here for years when they switched management it only improved what was already wonderful there’s always a diversity of creole/puerto rican foods. Fish, beef, pork, chicken, rices, stews, soups, hot pressed sandwiches like Cuban sandwiches, fried/ baked snack size bites like pastelillos, desserts like flan, bread pudding. Espressos, Malta’s, champagne cola/Caribbean sodas.”

Common grocery store items (milk, eggs, butter) seem to be cheaper in ShopRite but tropical sun has way better produce.”
