“A solid studio overall. The staff and instructors were friendly, the space was clean, and I appreciated having a shower available after class.
The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s on the second floor, and the parking is a bit farther from the entrance. Other than that, I had a good experience.”

“Everyone is so kind and inviting! I’ve taken Claire, Morgan, and Katie who are all amazing. You can’t go wrong with any instructor or class style!”
“Ripped is a great workout and very organized! They offer lots of options on the treads and all of the workouts are varied and stay interesting! Great music and instructors! I also love the cold towels provided after class”

“This is perfect for people who aren’t really “gym people,” like me. Whenever I go to a regular gym, I end up spending an hour and a half just waiting for machines or trying to figure out what to do. With time being so valuable, I really appreciate a structured 45-minute workout that actually lets you focus on working your muscles without the guesswork.
The classes are great because someone is guiding you through the workout, making sure your form is correct and helping modify exercises if needed. It makes the whole experience much less intimidating and a lot more effective.
I also really appreciate the customer service. Everyone has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. My absolute favorite coach is Meg, but honestly the entire team has been wonderful.
Highly recommend if you want an efficient workout with a supportive environment.”

“Fantastic equipment selection for anyone looking for a powerlifting / strongman specific training session, or general functional fitness. Incredibly easy drop in process.”
“I went with my daughter. It was my first time doing either type of class. It was tough for me especially the Barre portion. Everyone was encouraging and it was fun. Time seemed to go quickly. Our "leader" was motivating and made sure everyone was okay. When I am in the area, I will book a class. BTW, the space is clean and calming and you can get a healthy treat on the way out.”

“I can’t say enough good things about my experience at CrossFit Renaissance. As someone who was completely new to CrossFit and came in with a pretty limited skill level, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew I wanted to get stronger, improve my fitness, and challenge myself, but I was also intimidated by the idea of walking into a CrossFit gym where everyone seemed to know what they were doing. From the start, the coaches at CFR made me feel welcome and comfortable. They took the time to teach me the fundamentals, explain the movements, correct my form, and answer my questions without ever making me feel like I was behind. Their patience made a huge difference, especially as I learned movements and exercises that were new to me. The coaches cared about helping me improve. They pushed me when I needed to be pushed, but they also knew when to slow things down and help me understand what I was capable of. They didn’t just show me how to do the workouts. They helped me see what I could become if I stayed consistent and kept challenging myself. The class environment is another huge strength. Everyone is supportive, encouraging, and happy to see each other improve. There is a sense of community without the feeling that you have to compete with everyone around you. Whether you are experienced or brand new, you feel like you belong there. That made it much easier for me to keep showing up and continue pushing myself. I also appreciated the flexibility of the class schedule. Being able to find classes that worked around my schedule made it much easier to stay consistent. I came in wanting to work out and get in better shape, but I also have a different mindset about fitness. I feel stronger, more confident, and much more motivated to continue working toward becoming the best version of myself. I’m grateful for the dedication, patience, and encouragement of the entire team. The coaches don’t just teach you how to work out. They challenge you to believe that you are capable of more than you think. For someone new to CrossFit, that made all the difference. If you’re considering trying CrossFit but are nervous because you’re a beginner or feel like you’re not in good enough shape yet, I would recommend giving CrossFit Renaissance a try. You don’t have to walk in already knowing what you’re doing. They’ll meet you where you are, teach you the ropes, push you and help you grow from there. I’m really glad I took that first step this summer as CFR helped me start building a lifestyle around fitness that I want to continue.”

“Matt’s fantastic and his Wednesday 12 class is my favorite. It’s always different and always engaging. He provides modifications when I can’t do something and I really appreciate that.”
“The only reason I'm keeping my rating a 5 is because of Dani & Tom H. The triathlon program is awesome. Tom is the best spin instructor in South Jersey. One of the big negatives, since new management, is the closure of the classes in the tent. You can have more bikes in the tent then in the little room.”

“Training at KOG was an unreal experience. The energy in there is different — serious lifters, focused atmosphere, and a vibe that makes you want to push heavier the second you walk in.
The facility was spotless, the equipment was top tier, and the bars felt amazing — perfect knurling, solid whip, everything you want when you’re moving real weight. It honestly felt like a place I could disconnect from everything else and just lock in on my lifts.
You can tell this gym was built for people who love training. I had a ball and I’m 100% coming back.”

“I joined this gym two years ago and it’s been a great experience! Starting at TrueFitness was intimidating at first because there are some really fit people at this gym and there were so many movements and skills that were entirely new to me! Everyone at this gym is really friendly and positive which creates an environment where you enjoy spending time and are continually improving! Now, two years later, I’m the fittest I’ve ever been in my life, have unlocked many new gymnastics and weightlifting skills, increased overall strength significantly, and have enjoyed the community and coaching at TrueFitness! 😃”
“My experience at Warhorse has been extremely positive. I came to the gym looking to get more comfortable with strength training, and it was a great fit. The program they offered me was easy to follow, with helpful videos demonstrating each move so I always knew proper form.
I worked with Matty during small group personal training and he was awesome. He was patient, gave great tips, and offered alternative moves whenever I needed them. I’d highly recommend Warhorse to anyone looking to build strength in a supportive environment!”

“I had my second intro class with Dana a couple of weeks ago, and I really liked her energy during the class
The studio manager John was very thorough about explaining (1) membership options and pricing and (2) how the membership tiers can be best used”
“Once an ad on Instagram, I would repeatedly scroll by, has now become a key part of my weekly routine. Trainers Brandon and Christina are truly masters of their craft and make their clients feel both seen and heard. Their respective training styles engage and encourage us all as a community. As a member of large commercialized gyms in the city, TheGym Philly, has a warm, inviting feel with big energy that extends far beyond its brick walls on Melon street.
So grateful to be apart of this community of gym-goers. There are many days where I wish I joined sooner!”
“As someone who struggled to get back into the gym for years, Novem fit is incredible. I do the 2 time a week bootcamp class program. The atmosphere and vibes are so welcoming. All of the class trainers are so personable and helpful. They are super welcoming to newcomers and really dedicated to your success. Couldn’t recommend it more.”
“i moved to the area in march and needed a new gym. i did the trial for wenonah bootcamp through groupon and really enjoyed the place so i signed up for a regular membership. i have been to multiple gyms in my life but this one is by far my favorite! the classes and fun and fast. i've been going for almost 2 months now and not one class has been the same! you will not get bored here! the instructors are also all very nice and informative.”
“I’ve been a member here for the past 5 years. The coaches are always motivating and class formats vary day to day. I love the variety & always feel accomplished walking out. I also appreciate you can take the classes at your own pace & modify as needed. Non-judgmental zone!”

“My husband and I joined this gym because it was around the corner from our condo in callowhill. I have to say, without a doubt, it was the best gym ever. This gym felt like an extension of our house, it was casual and had every piece of equipment you would need. I only like cardio and free weights and they had it all! I would recommend to anyone to become a member. Also, it was extremely affordable in an otherwise inflated economy. Thanks for keeping your prices fair! We moved out of Philly, but we will miss this gym!!”
“I've been a member here for about 2 years. I starred out knowing nothing about throwing a punch and now I spar weekly and train frequently. The member community is supportive and encouraging. The coaches are outstanding. Depending on what kind of work out you are looking for, each coach offers a different vibe and expertise, focusing on techniques, cardio, and overall fitness. I love CKO Cherry Hill!”
“The most welcoming and practical gym in Center City! I've been a member for 4 months and am sadly moving out of the city. The staff goes above and beyond to get to know you (Marissa and Anne are the loveliest people you will ever meet) and the trainers are awesome - highly recommend Coach Sul! Great value for money and wonderful place to build community!”
“I love iron jungle! Compassionate coaches motivate you to be better, but will also meet you where you’re at. I’m constantly learning new skills that are different from working out at a regular gym. I also feel a strong sense of community at Iron Jungle. They have such a great team of coaches and staff there. Highly recommend”

“I love the rates and class environment. I also like that the staff ensures that I am doing the workouts correctly. They also have great class times . Sometimes I feel like it’s a little cliquish. I feel ignored like the trainers have certain people that they like. I did my 16 classes and think that I will find a new place to workout.”
“I love going to jazzercise studio. Great amazing Jazzerise Instructor's and love all the music. Jazzerise Instructor's is like family to me. And help them who need help”
“Amazing space. Just had my first Breathwork session with Ari. It was a powerful immersive experience. It was a pleasure to meet a wonderful community of individuals that came to the class. Highly recommend! Will be coming back”

“Staff welcomed me as soon as I walked in. Acoustics were great and could hear the instructor clearly. And at the end, a nice cold towel with eucalyptus, game changer . I will definitely be back”
“This gym is great. Very friendly & supportive atmosphere. I was new to CrossFit & a little intimidated at first, but you can really go at your own pace & the coaches are great at adapting the workouts to your ability level. If you don’t want to do the CrossFit workout, there is always a boot camp option, which is a great workout & a little easier skill-wise if you are new to CrossFit. I’ve been athletic my whole life & the workouts are some of the best I’ve had at any gym. You can try a class for free before joining. Definitely recommend!”
“Originally was one of the first people to join the gym when they first opened. Loved going to classes, but over time we moved to Ridley Park. For about the last 5-6 years i've been bouncing around from gym to gym, never really happy with the programs.
I decided to come back to South Philly CKO and I am glad i chose to do so. Abby, Stacey, Ashley, Gina, Trish and all the other trainers really make it a fun but great workout.
I will continue to attend the classes and have a great work out.”

“I joined CrossFit Fairmount last year, and this was by far the best thing I have done in Philly. The CFF is my first CrossFit gym, and I have been enjoying workouts in the great community and facility.”
“I’ve been a member since 2017 and have visited nearly 50 studios from Florida to Washington state and many places in between. The Moorestown studio may be my favorite after my home studio. It was very clean, the staff were all warm and welcoming, and Coach Raymond was a high energy hype man from start to finish! Thanks for a great experience Moorestown. We hope to visit again sometime in the future.”
“I’ve had a good experience at Planet Fitness overall. The gym is clean, the equipment is good, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It can get a little crowded at certain times, but it’s usually not too bad and I’m still able to get my workout in. Overall, it’s a comfortable and affordable gym with a nice atmosphere.”
