I absolutely love shopping at the Hamilton PetSmart! The store is always clean, well-stocked, and easy to navigate. Whether I’m picking up food for my dog or browsing toys for my cat, I know I can always find exactly what I need.
The staff here is incredible—friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to help. They go above and beyond to ensure my pets are happy and healthy, offering great advice and recommendations. The grooming services are also top-notch, and my dog always leaves looking and feeling great.
I also appreciate the focus on adoption events and how they support local rescues. It’s wonderful to see a business that truly cares about pets and their families.

Went there just to get my dogs nails trimmed, nothing too crazy. I told them it was his first time getting a clip professionally and they were nice and said no worries. Clearly I should've been worried because I left him for MAYBE 3 minutes so I could go up to the front and pay for the service, came back and not only were they done but they had clipped his nail to the point of bleeding. It was a nail that was already short so they really didn't need to clip it anyway. Knowing anything about dogs nails I would think that it was common sense to not clip an already short nail. Only some of his nails were really long (the way he walks keeps some of them filed). When they told me about the bleed I was calm about it because he didn't seem too hurt, he wasn't limping when we left and he was okay for the night. He did slightly snap when the girl grabbed his paw to put the styptic powder on but he was okay after that.
Now fast forward to this morning he can barely move. He wont walk, he's struggling so bad to move around even the slightest. Couldn't get him to go outside and use the bathroom or anything.
If your staff is unfamiliar with clipping nails, black nails at that, they shouldn't be doing it. Had they said something, I would've come back or gone else where to have the service done. I trusted the employees of PetSmart to be knowledgeable about animals needs and health and to do a simple trim. Now my dog wont even move because he's in so much pain.
If the pain does not subside in a day or two(the online vet chat gave this advice), I will absolutely need to take him to the vet.

It’s a wonderful love the story you can every thing you need plus get your pet groom and a vet hospital. Love the wellness options they have even though it’s not pet insurance but discounts hey I’ll take that cost everything expensive nowadays. This plan gives you peace of mind that you can get your pet some care half the price. I love it when I took my cats to a private vet the bill was massive I was so mad. But this that was working with my daughter cause she is autistic and has behavioral problems so the ABA aide told me about Banfield and it’s responsible after I told her how much I spent at the vet I wea taking them too. Next time my cats had to get their shots I went there and been going ever since I also told my boys in Virginia to take our dog I would have kept my lad with me but my MS started to get bad and she didn’t know her strength and my body would act badly after each walk so they took her for me and take her to Banfield too glad PetSmart has Banfield inside it really helped me thanks 😊 and I will refer more people if they need a low cost vet hospital😄
