“I’ve never written a review for a post office, but I feel like they deserve the recognition! The employees at this location are wonderful. They go above and beyond and they are always kind and helpful. I lost a receipt a few weeks ago, and they took the time to retrieve it for me without hesitation. I always get the best service in this little spot. Thank you!!”
“Unfortunately I don’t know her name. Was there today Wednesday Sept 17 th approximately 3pm. She was soooo nice, and sooo helpful. Moved to Rockaway 6 months ago and still trying to find our way around. Have been in post office before but never met this very kind and knowledgeable lady. I was a little frustrated with the day I had and had to get a money order which I didn’t know bank does not do.They told me to go to post office. So I proceeded to post office. She was soooo nice and helpful. Didn’t know what to expect because being new in the area I thought “ great another aggravating situation “. Just want to make sure you know who I’m speaking of. again Sept 17th about 3PM. She was soooo nice great, helpful and felt Rockaway may have been a good move. Thank you sooo much postal worker on that day and time.”
“I have been to this office many times. It is always well stocked with boxes and envelopes of all sizes as well as greeting cards. The premises are clean and the lines are minimal except around closing time.
Tara, the office employee, goes above and beyond to provide phenomenal service. I was shipping a box, which I purchased at the post office. It comes with tape stickers but they weren’t strong enough. Tara graciously offered to double tape the box for me with her own personal supplies of duct tape. She also advised me on the best box size for my items so that I don’t overpay. Great service and reasonable prices!”

“Reviewing the post office based on how they handle your passport application is just stupid. This is a post office. They handle mail. And parcels. They sell stamps. And money orders. Yes, they are required to handle passport applications, but forcing other customers to wait while you ask stupid passport questions whose answers can be found online or fill out forms that should be completed ahead of time is inconsiderate and self-centered.
The postal operations at this facility are first-class. I’ve been a customer here for decades and, other than some occasional grumpiness, have never had a service problem. They are efficient and very knowledgeable.”

“I had the pleasure of being assisted by Lovida at the post office, and I must say, she completely turned my experience around. After two previous visits, one being a walk-in and another an appointment that had to be rescheduled due to short staffing… I was beginning to feel a bit frustrated. But the moment I walked in on the third time, Lovida greeted me with a cheerful smile and made me feel completely at ease. Not only was she warm and friendly, but she was also incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist truly made me forget about the previous inconveniences I had faced. “Typically, any trip to the post office is associated with a groan, procrastination, then a period of denial. My wife and I couldn't put it off any longer. Holiday gifts had to go and we're in a pandemic. Our local post office was out of the question so we thought, try a new place.So glad we drove to the Park Ave., USPS. Erik was the clerk and he was extremely friendly, patient and professional. Took the time to advise us on our packages and delivery options and we in no way felt rushed. It was hard to imagine we were in a United States Post Office. Haven't had an experience like that in decades.Parking is fairly easy, lines were not very long despite holiday season rush on a Saturday morning. Also, there is disabled parking (which I utilized), directly in front as well as wheelchair ramp access for those who require it.Stay safe and be well...”

The automated phone system is efficient despite being impersonal—I had a mail issue resolved quickly through an online form. Staff here used to feel cold and indifferent, but there’s been a noticeable shift lately. A kind older Asian woman who rotates between locations brings warmth to the service. Staff turnover seems high, and while they may be short-staffed, hiring doesn’t appear active.
Lines vary depending on the time and customer behavior, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. If the parking lot is full, expect a wait. The space is functional, though envelope selection is more limited than other nearby offices.”

I actually go out of my way to use this location over others nearby. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, with the exception of one newer employee who seems less approachable. Lines can get long due to customer delays, not staff, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. The space is small but functional, and they have a fun selection of envelopes. Overall, a great post office.”
