Here is what happened to me at end of year 2020: I had a crucial bundle of documents to mail to along with a self-expense mail, I felt anxious before visiting the store, the lady who showed up at 8 AM on time helped me patiently through the end, she is professional and informative, step by step walked me through, and today I received my mail back with renewed document! Also, the town isn’t all that big, if they set out at 07:10 to do their route(s), then why is it that In almost 10 hours it hasn’t arrived. I live not even 2 minutes away. “Typically, any trip to the post office is associated with a groan, procrastination, then a period of denial. My wife and I couldn't put it off any longer. Holiday gifts had to go and we're in a pandemic. Our local post office was out of the question so we thought, try a new place.So glad we drove to the Park Ave., USPS. Erik was the clerk and he was extremely friendly, patient and professional. Took the time to advise us on our packages and delivery options and we in no way felt rushed. It was hard to imagine we were in a United States Post Office. Haven't had an experience like that in decades.Parking is fairly easy, lines were not very long despite holiday season rush on a Saturday morning. Also, there is disabled parking (which I utilized), directly in front as well as wheelchair ramp access for those who require it.Stay safe and be well...”

“The people that work here are so nice , patient and helpful. However, the parking is the worst. Not sure why the cafe next store is still allowed to block off two spots for pick up. Its a county road I wonder how that is ok? I'm sure the dog groomer would love her own blocked off spots for drop off and pick up too. Covid is still here but the pick up panic is over.”

“In all the chaos the Coronavirus has created, the Pompton Plains Postal worker who attempted to answer my phone questions patiently tried to help me despite a long line at the counter. I inadvertently discarded a tracking number to a pkg I had mailed and was seeking his assistance to track the location of the pkg. Without the tracking number, there wasn't anything he could do to help me, but he was extremely patient and kind on the phone.”

I enjoy coming to this post office.For people complaining about them being randomly closed, its because the main branch is short staffed, so whoever would be at Broad St has to work at the main one.BTW, the post office is not tax payer funded, they are self-funded.”

She was clear, friendly, speedy, and efficient; she took one good picture, we signed papers, she made copies, and we were out within 10 minutes. And TJ Kim was in the office at the time and was friendly, kind and tolerant of my happy children as we waited. I would give 10 stars.”

“I honestly believe that you get the energy you give. I've heard the "horror stories" about the Hawthorne Post Office and I have avoided it for the almost 2 years I've lived in town. Today, I didn't have time to go elsewhere. I took a deep breath and went inside with my package. I was the only customer there. The woman at the counter was extremely friendly. By the end of the transaction she asked "your first time here?" I said yes. She said "I can tell because you are so smiley. Have a great weekend!" And she was smiling back at me through her mask. I hope people can put past experiences behind them and give these postal workers a chance to surprise you. They're doing their best with what they're given.”
