Highland General Store is a favorite and an icon, often described as a truly great place. It is a very convenient store where you can always find exactly what you need. It features a deli with great sandwiches, soup, and apple cake at lower prices, plus a good selection of snacks and candies. There is also a large selection of wines and liquors. Open for multiple generations, it is a place where everyone in the area is privileged to shop, offering friendly service in a beloved northern NJ location.
Shirley was amazing helping me when I had no clue what I was doing when I was trying to set up my lapidary machine drain lines. She was patient and kind and didn’t give up until she was able to help me and I really truly appreciate it. Highly recommend Very personable!.

Love this store. You can get drinks, hardware and the last minute pick up items you need. Always think of the general first.
