This place is an absolute joke. I fill out an application online for a bank account. I get there they tell me there’s no way for them to access it and no way for me to make my account there at that time. I have to wait for it to be reviewed online mind you I have almost $3000 on me that I can drop in the bank right now. Nope headed to Somerset savings.

7 business days to clear a check is outrageous. So these thieves cash your check, sit on your money in their accounts for over a week then give you the privilege of accessing your money. What a scam. My other banks have my deposits in my account within 24 hours. Stay away from these guys!!

Drove hour and a half to this branch as it was the closest one to me after American heritage refused to cash my 401k check since I wasn’t a “member” of their bank. The branch manager verified my check and account cashed the check. Never had such a great banking experience as I had with this branch the tellers were also very polite highly recommended this branch

Avoid this Bank they use predatory behavior rip you off with fees do not get an account with them do not open up a car loan they’re overdraft fees and how they work is disgusting not giving any time to fix your account they prey on the poor and take advantage of you if you open up a car loan with them they will not say anything to you in months down the road they will add a $2000 insurance onto your car payment and raise your car payments this is disgusting and predatory behavior there are much better banks to go to like PNC or chase who treat their customers with respect and dignity and give them time to fix their accounts giving someone no time to fix a negative account is terrible and it’s predatory behavior on the poor stay far away from this bank there is no benefit it will only hurt you and put you into debt

I had a Business and a personal account with this bank. During the height of COVID, all of my contracted facilities closed and my business account went in the negative as most businesses did. I was lucky enough to scrape some money to get it back to positive. I learned later on that Affinity rated my account "Abuse of Account" status meaning I could not open elsewhere. Thank god for some friends in the banking industry that notified me of this specific time that was on my record, I was able to open my business account elsewhere after i explained my situation during COVID. I will definitely report this to DOBI. This should not be on my record during the time of the Pandemic.Affinity also put my company in the waiting list for the PPP loan. really? having a business account there and they facilitated other businesses that did not have an account there. Credit unions are also easy to get a loan with compared to other banks however , the years Ive had my account at Affinity I was NEVER approved or was never approached by any of the representatives to offer their loan services. You would be lucky if they even acknowledge you when you enter in the bank which i always did because their mobile deposit NEVER worked. I used their mobile deposit a handful of times which was suppose to be convenient however 9 out of 10 times i was prompted to personally deposit it because the camera feature or template they use did not accurately capture the images of the check. Very frustrating and not convenient at all. I once needed to get a replacement debit card for my business , i was told the drive thru was open however I had to drive to Flemington or Piscataway because Hillsborough did not have a drive thru. Not convenient at all. Please save yourself the aggravation,, if you are a minority business owner like myself, go elsewhere and open an account elsewhere Business or personal to get better overall service. Stay away from this bank .

This credit union has literally saved me thousands of dollars over the years. They refinance my debt at the lowest rate I could find anywhere and got me debt-free. They saved me thousands of dollars on 2 different cars. They helped me build up a solid savings. I only have experience with Affinity and other mainstream banks like Chase or Bank of America, compared to those two this place is light-years better. Only ever had good experiences.

I went here to cash in my check when I asked the bank teller, Amber, how I could get a checking account and debit card. Amber was extremely helpful and explained to me how to transfer my money online and that I could sign up for direct deposit too. I usually go to the Affinity in Bedminster but I will definitely be going to the Affinity in Hillsborough more. Thanks Amber for making my experience pleasant!

Love the service and the way bank treats its customers. specially if you are new to banking in NJ. they offer the best interest rates & other offers. i have multiple accounts but i use affinity as my primary for last 3+ yrs and extremely satisfied with the services. i usually prefer visiting this branch in Hillsborough for all my needs and the people here are really helpful. i am going to be a member for life

"Open by appointment only" is not the same as "open". If you say you're "open", I am expecting to, at the very least, withdraw *my* money.Close this branch if its not actually going to be open. This is absurd.

Went there today 4pm. Branch closed, no sign. Says there open. But no one is there.
