    3.3 Good 101 reviews

“Just came to the Dollar General Hillside today around 12:40P. The new manager was very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately the cashier didn’t have a bag for my purchases and the manager very generously offered to bring my items to my car. That NEVER happens. He even came in today apparently on his day off. You definitely need to hire more managers like him!!”

He walked out of there super happy. Times like these we need a little kindness. What may seem small to others can be really big to someone else. I dodnt get her name and I should have but just wanted to share her kindness.”

“I went to 5 below with a very large order of 200 backpacks for my office's annual back to school event. We apparently had forgot to confirm the order with the store. Nevertheless, when I got there, all the employees were very helpful, especiall the manager Lisa who helped me hand-pick 200 backpacks off the shelves. She really went above and beyond and helped tremendously, giving true care to pick designs the kids might like. The other store employees helped as well, with scanning the massuve order and baghing them, and then helping me pack my car. All around it only took 30 minutes because they became a well-oiled machine and really helped me out!! Thank you to the whole team for a great experience, you really made a difference!!”

They have an OK selection of product though it’s a bit more expensive compared to other stores. We usually just come here to buy kitchen and bathroom curtains. The place looks run down. Customer service is okay, I have nothing negative to say really. The clothes for men usually go up 2XL max.”

The Dollar General in Lyndhurst, New Jersey has become one of the most warm and welcoming locations, and it’s all thanks to an employee named Mary. She is truly one of a kind—beautiful, vibrant, kind, and incredibly warm-hearted. She always acknowledges everyone, takes the time to speak, and makes each person feel seen and valued. Her uplifting spirit brings so much joy to every visit. She is the main reason I choose this Dollar General over any other. I truly hope she is recognized and rewarded just as much as she brightens the days of everyone she meets. I thank God for people like her?”
