“I stumbled upon this place and I’m so glad I did, you can’t beat the price of the dog wash which includes shampoo, a dryer, towels, and expert advice from the groomer on standby. My dog hates being bathed but the staff here made it easier for both me and her. I will definitely return!”
“Love visiting the store and dog park for Friday Night Bites for dogs and dog owners socializing with snacks and drinks. The dog park is small, but my dog Leah loves it there. The store stocks a lot of specialty food selections as well as a very large variety of bones, treats, toys and other pet supplies. There's also a mobile vet on site. “Went in today to get my kids their first starter pet. I wish I could remember the gentleman’s name but he was so knowledgeable and so good with my kids. I love how the animals can be handled and they’re already tame. Very clean and every staff member was attentively helping customers or caring for the animals.”
“TJ and staff are nice. I’ve bought an animal from F&F and still board it here when I’m away. That being said, I agree with some of the other reviewers that it does smell and feel very humid in there. It’s a relief to walk out of the shop and get some fresh air. Also I do notice some fish look dead in the individual bowls plus there is always a huge amount of poop in the rabbits/ hamster enclosures. This leads me to be somewhat concerned about the welfare of the animals and cleanliness of this place.”

“This afternoon, my friend Maria and I were in Middletown, New Jersey, and ventured into the Pet Shoppe at Squire Plaza.
We were met with a heartwarming sight as we stepped through the door - two magnificent Golden Retrievers wagging their tails and greeting us with friendly barks and licks; these dogs belonged to The Pet Shoppe’s owner, Dana. Dana welcomed us with a warm smile, and we could immediately tell her genuine love for animals.
The delightful ambiance of the place immediately struck us - there was no overpowering smell of confined animals, no sense of suffering or neglect. Instead, the puppies at the Pet Shoppe were happily playing in spacious pens, interacting with other puppies, and receiving all the care and attention they deserved.
Dana took pride in offering a diverse selection of small, medium, and giant breeds of puppies, ensuring that each one was healthy, well-socialized, and came from responsible breeders. The Pet Shoppe was a business and a sanctuary for these furry companions, where they were treated with love and respect.
We are immensely impressed that the Pet Shoppe was a proud NJ Coalition of Responsible Pet Stores member, standing firm against puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. We knew that when the time came to bring a new furry family member home, the Pet Shoppe would be their first choice, where we could find a loving companion to cherish for a lifetime.
And so, the afternoon at the Pet Shoppe became a memory filled with warmth, joy, and the promise of a future bond with a healthy four-legged friend. As we left the shop, we were happy knowing there was a place like the Pet Shoppe where animals were truly valued and cared for.”

“Never been here before today. I went to pick up dog food for my friend. The woman (I wished I got her name) who helped wear above and beyond to help me. The inventory wasn't correct but she checked throughly. She was not just helpful, but she even thanked me for being nice to her. I think I found a new spot for my own dogs needs.”

“Raymond Guisto, linden nj, blue collar, once you reach TSC, you have ascended to the next level of leadership, I’m there 4 times a month, get the part pay cash & go, get back to the job at hand, and what’s extremely helpful is when you walk in with the broken part and in 5 minutes you got it , a belt, a pulley, 4stroke parts , the list goes on, for my store, and all the other stores I drop in when I’m at other locations, TSC…… keeps my day moving in a timely fashion. Seems a good number of Hazleteers are aware of this little gem which most often beats the big box stores on prices, especially with member offers and coupons! Lovely neighborhood store that welcomes pets and their owners, and also has grooming and bathing services.”

“My dog had diarrhea for two days but was still eating and drinking. I went to the Eaton Petco for advice.
The sales associate took the time to advise me on several products. I started them when I got home and 24 hours later, my dog seems OK.
It is nice to find salespeople who are knowledgeable and don't do hard selling.
I actually went back to Petco today for more product.”

“We got our puppy in May 2015. We were passing through town and stopped in quickly, we locked eyes with our fur-baby and the rest is history! We had a wonderful experience. “Adopted Teddy during the Pandemic and Husky House was amazing. Multiple visits to make sure he was good with my other pups and they gave all the support needed during and after adoption. Everyobe who works there loves the dogs so much and Teddy was so taken care of before his adoption. I would and likely will adopt from them again. “I utilize the training, grooming and vet services here and they are all wonderful and affordable. As for grooming, this is the only place my puppy does not have an issue with. She is afraid at other groomers for some reason but very happy here! Everything about the Holmdel location has been wonderful.”
