“This afternoon, my friend Maria and I were in Middletown, New Jersey, and ventured into the Pet Shoppe at Squire Plaza.
We were met with a heartwarming sight as we stepped through the door - two magnificent Golden Retrievers wagging their tails and greeting us with friendly barks and licks; these dogs belonged to The Pet Shoppe’s owner, Dana. Dana welcomed us with a warm smile, and we could immediately tell her genuine love for animals.
The delightful ambiance of the place immediately struck us - there was no overpowering smell of confined animals, no sense of suffering or neglect. Instead, the puppies at the Pet Shoppe were happily playing in spacious pens, interacting with other puppies, and receiving all the care and attention they deserved.
Dana took pride in offering a diverse selection of small, medium, and giant breeds of puppies, ensuring that each one was healthy, well-socialized, and came from responsible breeders. The Pet Shoppe was a business and a sanctuary for these furry companions, where they were treated with love and respect.
We are immensely impressed that the Pet Shoppe was a proud NJ Coalition of Responsible Pet Stores member, standing firm against puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. We knew that when the time came to bring a new furry family member home, the Pet Shoppe would be their first choice, where we could find a loving companion to cherish for a lifetime.
And so, the afternoon at the Pet Shoppe became a memory filled with warmth, joy, and the promise of a future bond with a healthy four-legged friend. As we left the shop, we were happy knowing there was a place like the Pet Shoppe where animals were truly valued and cared for.”

“Love visiting the store and dog park for Friday Night Bites for dogs and dog owners socializing with snacks and drinks. The dog park is small, but my dog Leah loves it there. The store stocks a lot of specialty food selections as well as a very large variety of bones, treats, toys and other pet supplies. There's also a mobile vet on site. “TJ and staff are nice. I’ve bought an animal from F&F and still board it here when I’m away. That being said, I agree with some of the other reviewers that it does smell and feel very humid in there. It’s a relief to walk out of the shop and get some fresh air. Also I do notice some fish look dead in the individual bowls plus there is always a huge amount of poop in the rabbits/ hamster enclosures. This leads me to be somewhat concerned about the welfare of the animals and cleanliness of this place.”

“Heh-heh-heh! Hey there, pal! It’s me, Barney Rubble, and I just rolled my stone wheels over to this new place called Lidl in Hazlet! Fred told me it was like Bedrock’s version of a bazaar — only with fewer dinosaurs and way more fluorescent lights.
First thing I notice — no brontosaurus steaks. Not one! But they do got these things called “rotisserie chickens,” and boy, they smell so good I almost clubbed a guy in aisle five just to get the last one!
Everything’s shiny, cheap, and confusing — like if Mr. Slate opened a grocery mine. There’s signs everywhere with these weird prices like $3.29 — I keep thinkin’, “Just round it up, you cowards!” In Bedrock, we trade rocks for rocks. None of this decimal nonsense!
Then I see the bakery section — oh boy, Betty’s gonna kill me. I grabbed like six loaves of bread before realizing they’re all different kinds of carbs I can’t pronounce. “Ciabatta”? Sounds like a prehistoric bird! “Baguette”? Isn’t that what Wilma uses to poke Fred when he snores?
The cashiers, though — speedy! No yabba-dabba waitin’ in line. The girl scanned my stuff so fast, I thought she was powered by a tiny pterodactyl on espresso. I blinked and suddenly I owed her $72 and had three reusable bags I don’t remember buying.
Final thoughts? Lidl’s kinda like if a Bedrock quarry and a modern market had a baby — and that baby had great deals on cheese.

Would shop again — but next time, I’m bringin’ Fred. He’s got the bigger club card.”
“I always use this tractor supply because it’s close to my house. But tonight I went there with a problem with cold-weather bibs that I bought for work. I tried to go through Carhartt, but they were giving me the runaround. I called up and spoke to the manager, Victor, One of the nicest guys I have ever encountered. He helped me out tremendously. As a father of 3 and a sole provider for my family he really took care of me. Stuff like that usually never happens to me. Him and his staff were so nice even when I called on the phone they were courteous and took care of me. I was in and out of the store within five minutes and couldn’t have been happier! Thanks again tractor supply especially Victor and his staff!”
“They favor more items for dogs than any other pet, but their prices are equal to or a few dollars cheaper than the big name pet stores. The staff is helpful too!”

“I visited the Tinton Falls, NJ store yesterday with a list in hand. Bo )the sales person) was extremely helpful in helping me find some of the items. Most importantly the connection (for my garden hose to connect to a “hose reel) with two female ends. Along with a few other items I was seeking. I also browsed around the store (enjoying some “retail therapy”). Yes, I overspent, but retail therapy was needed. Bo also helped me load up my “haul” - with the few bigger items I purchased onto my vehicle!!! Thank you, Bo? I’ll be back and hope to see Bo again! Chair and hose reel in use! My vegetable garden thanks Bo too, as it got much needed watering!”

“My dog had diarrhea for two days but was still eating and drinking. I went to the Eaton Petco for advice.
The sales associate took the time to advise me on several products. I started them when I got home and 24 hours later, my dog seems OK.
It is nice to find salespeople who are knowledgeable and don't do hard selling.
I actually went back to Petco today for more product.”
“My guide dog has early kidney disease with a small amount of elevated protein in her urine. She was on the prescription kidney diet and I was not pleased as she was sluggish with really bad breath. I decided to go with Dr. Harvey’s kidney diet and am working with Lorri the dietitian. We had a few hiccups in the beginning due to miscommunication on both sides. However, I am so impressed with her knowledge and dedication to reversing the situation. My dog has been on this diet for three weeks and now has regained her energy and her breath does not make me gag. I am so happy and will write again after her new blood work this week. I feel like I am really taking care of my angel with the incredible natural food from Dr, Harvey’s. thank you Lorri.”

“I utilize the training, grooming and vet services here and they are all wonderful and affordable. As for grooming, this is the only place my puppy does not have an issue with. She is afraid at other groomers for some reason but very happy here! Everything about the Holmdel location has been wonderful.”
