Bicycle Shops near Hopewell, NJ

“I had such a wonderful experience at this bike shop! Sam and his staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely interested in helping their customers.

They took the time to help me properly fit the gear I needed for my bike as well as a comfortable, properly fitting helmet. What I appreciated most was that I never felt like they were trying to sell me things I didn’t need. In fact, they were very honest about what I actually needed and what I didn’t. It’s clear that their priority is helping people enjoy cycling safely, not simply making a sale.

The customer service went above and beyond. One of the staff members even brought my bike out to my car and took the time to teach me the best and safest way to load and transport it.

It’s becoming rare to find this kind of personal, knowledgeable, and honest service. I left feeling very well taken care of and much more confident about getting back out on my bike. I highly recommend Sam and his team!”

“This place is funny. From the outside, I always thought it would be underwhelming, but I never knew why I arrived at this conclusion. Sometime in the last six months I decided to test that theory and boy was I proven wrong. This place has some serious gear and is very much the taste of those who wrench such as myself. Love that despite being a stranger to mechanics, I'm welcomed to talk with them in the repair area about bike builds, etc. I don't know anyone's names, I'm afraid, but I usually bump into who appears to be the lead mechanic and he's a sound individual. Super reasonable prices on spare parts, cut off cables/housing, etc. He even tried to bail me out on a barrel adjuster replacement, despite me figuring out after all it was incompatible -- he still fronted it to me at no cost. Furthermore, they have this neat tire/tube bin near the front door where individual/pairs of tyrs are sold at fairly good prices. That's something I've not seen from other shops (coming from a mechanic who's worked at shops both in America and the United Kingdom). Suffice to say that when I pass through en route to Princeton, I like stopping in here and checking the place out. Shouts out for stocking Dumonde lube! Keep wrenching, boys.”

“I had an outstanding experience picking up two kids' bikes today at V5 Cycles. The team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely invested in helping me. They took the time to answer my questions without ever making me feel rushed.

It's refreshing to find a business that combines technical expertise with such a customer-focused approach. I highly recommend V5 Cycles to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop that truly values its customers.”

“I think he’s the owner, and with no mechanics available, he personally fixed the flat tire on my daughter’s bike on a Sunday late afternoon and even adjusted the brakes. Thank you so much for the friendly and helpful service!”

“I just bought a quality used bicycle online that has a Pete's Bicycle Shop sticker on it. The bicycle is from the 1990s and I can tell you that the bicycle was property assembled when it was originally sold. It still functions as designed and due to the quality build originally from this bicycle shop it has stood the test of time. I have never actually been to this shop but I thought a real world experience with one of their bikes would speak volumes. Thank you and keep up the top quality work!”

“I went in there yesterday with a flat tire. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. They fixed my bike in less than 2 hours. The price was extremely fair for what they did and they explained to me afterwards what they did and why. I definitely suggest this place to buy or service your bike.”
