“I called SOS Gases in a pinch as I ran out of helium for a balloon job I had due that same day. It was great to know I can go on the spot to rent and refill my helium tank without making a reservation. However when I called to inquire the rental/refill details the receptionist who answered the phone was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. She was bothered to answer my questions. I was desperate so I took a chance and visited SOS. The in-person service was much different. A very pleasant man helped us with all our questions and needs. The service was quick and seamless. I was tempted to bring up the customer service lady who answered my call but I get the feeling it's a family run business and it was probably the mother or grandmother of the business so it's probably pointless to bring up a compliant. I knocked off a star for the rude phone reception and also because they charge you a 3% credit card transaction fee for the purchase AND the refund of my deposit back to my cc. That was ridiculous. I understand the purchase but for the refund of my deposit!!! As a business they should factor that as COGS.”

If customer service were an Olympic sport, the employee at this U-Haul in Chelsea would be bringing home the gold. Polite, professional, and incredibly efficient — I was in and out in 10 minutes flat. The truck was spotless, fueled up, and ready to roll. No hiccups, no headaches, no “let me check in the back” moments — just smooth sailing from start to finish.
Honestly, the whole process was so seamless I started to wonder if I’d accidentally hired a moving concierge service. The employee was so thorough I half-expected him to tuck a mint on the dashboard before handing me the keys.
Why four stars instead of five? Well, perfection is a tough act to follow — and leaving room for improvement keeps them humble. Highly recommend this spot for a stress-free rental experience!”
