“I haven’t had many problems banking here, everything is very simple and staff are great… however recently I came in to get a slip with all my information to set up direct deposit and somehow they gave me someone else’s account number. I was wondering why my paycheck wasn’t going through and my boss and I realized a major difference in account numbers, it wasn’t like just one number was incorrect. My paycheck, hundreds of dollars, essentially got forwarded to someone else’s bank account. A very kind gentleman (i’m so sorry i didn’t get his name) quickly sorted out the issue within 10 minutes and I got my money, but I feel like a mistake like that shouldn’t be made so easily… regardless, it was handled properly and I appreciate that.”
“OceanFirst is a well-run machine. I was in the Port Monmouth branch today and my experience was first class. the thought of sending out multiple wires and being pressed for time had me concerned. We usually bank at the Middletown branch, but we stopped into Raritan Center because it was on our way to the airport. The staff—Sean, Joyce, and Lily—were very friendly and went out of their way to help with my transaction.
