Book Stores
“A nice place to sit down and read a book and enjoy a Starbucks coffee with a croissant or one of the many choices of cakes and pastries. Some books are a little pricey but they have good sales from time to time”
“I was thrilled to find an independent bookstore without having to go to Philly. I've been there several times and each time I've gotten a few books that turned out to be excellent, by authors i wasn't familiar with. The staff is friendly and not intrusive- they don't interrupt my quiet perusing, but are available if needed.”
“Amaaaaaazign people. I forgot the book at home for the mystery reader day for my 7 years old. That mysterious hero who helped me out find the book and skip the line and pay for it in under 3 mins running around that huge store.
I don’t know his name but thank you soooooooooo much”
“Great experience my first time in this particular Barnes and noble. Went on the 4th of July so wasn’t busy. An employee helped us find one particular book but I’d have to say we had trouble finding variety in the spiritual section. Mostly main stream religions but not much on African or Latin American based religions. Tell me more about what my Afro & latin ancestors were praying about? Plenty of parking and seems like a place I could relax with a coffee And read for a bit”
“My son loves reading and it's nice to be able to read a few pages to make sure he likes something before we buy it. On our last visit he really thought he wanted a book then realized he didn't like it. He found a completely different book I never would have thought to get him and fell in love with it!”
“A bookstore Little Ron DeSantis would hate. This store features African-American authors telling African-American stories & history. It's a treasure in the City Invincible”
“Going back to school using my VA GI Bill. This is the best decision I made in a while and will benefit me for the rest of my life. If you're a veteran and have your school loan available take advantage of it. It's a super easy process. Go Army”
“The staff is super helpful, and the textbook and school sprit selection is stellar! This is yet another great Rutgers-Camden shop, when you need supplies, and have some cash/ RUExpress on hand.”
“A good small Islamic store, with a diverse amount of items. I found a nice kufi for myself and a one piece hijab for my wife, but if I spent more time there I am sure I would of purchased alot more, insha'Allah. They have a large amount of thobes, niqabs, hijabs, Islamic books and other Islamic clothing (including shirts). I will come here again, insha'Allah upon my next visit to Camden.”
“What a great team of professionals! Kellie did an amazing job answering all my questions. Shipping was fast and the book was very carefully packed in silk paper and bubble wrap for protection. Thank you so much!”
“It was a decent place. Employees very friendly and helpful. I just think that the prices are a little high considering it is supposed to be an outlet but other than that it was ?”
“Nice spacious book store. Sells $16 basic t shirts which do the trick. But cashier reading a book made it quite clear she wasn’t interested in speaking to a customer. Not really a good fit for that type of personality.”
“The cashier Joey that works the Wednesday overnight shift was extremely helpful to us and made our experience very comfortable. He was very knowledgeable and willing to help with whatever we needed. I'll be going there when he works from now on. Also, the selection at the store was incredible and they had everything we needed.”
“The Store manager is so polite always smiling and willing to help you find what you are looking for. If it's not in stock she will order it and call you when it arrives!??”
