“Absolutely a lovely experience. While I started at big box stores looking for a dress I did see dresses that I liked but there wasn’t one dress for me to try on in my size (18). I was lucky to find a Lara dress online and went to the store to actually try the dress on! The lovely stylists not only made me feel like I was a “star” they remembered the dress I specifically said I like on my initial appointment request. If you need a formal dress take a moment to look at Lara’s dresses.”
“I am not your easy to fit, or easy to please customer when it comes to finding a formal comfortable dress. Thus, I was more than pleasantly surprised when I was in and out of The Pink Orchid Shop in half an hour.
To say I was pleased is an understatement. Lara was ‘spot on’ knowing the style that looked best on me. Not in the least pressuring, rather easy going, supportive, understanding and with beautiful taste.
“Try this on, looks better than on hanger “ and in quick agreement, no pushing, “no, not for you”… the next dress suggestion, I hesitantly tried, yet, felt years younger and even, might I say ‘attractive! Even the price was attractive!
The clincher was the gown that I tried on for my granddaughter’s wedding! Oh my goodness, so pretty, just my style, so comfortable, elegant, all rolled into one! And Lara had the seamstress right there with a smile and the know how to help the small size fit on my body.
All in all , shopping there today was a positive experience! How many ppl can say that?? The dressing rooms were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, Lara was a pleasure to shop with and to guide with her expertise and flair for fashion.
My daughter only shops at Pink Orchid. I after todays’ experience, I understand why she does!”

“I’m not sure if it’s this company because there was two dress business inside, but I had a very lovely experience for my sisters prom dress shopping. Two very nice and helpful lady guided us and even helped her pick prom dresses. My sister found two lovely dresses that she loves. Even though it was past closing time, they still stayed to help my sister decide on her decision. Not to mention, they weren’t forcing any decisions whether to buy it or not, they just gave their honest opinion based on color and design. Thank you to them, my sister prom night will be special!!! I have been purchasing Business and Casual Clothing from Stacey and The Tom James Clothing Company for Years. Stacey is a consummate professional in every facet of her business. She always makes me feel like I am her only client. Comes to see me at anytime that works for me and my business. I expect to work with her for years to come.
Regarding the company that she represents Tom James. There has not been one piece of Clothing that not been 100% perfect fit and comfortable to wear. The color and design options are superb!
