They have the most amazing staff who are passionate about all of the dogs that come to them while also treating the pet parents with the same care. “Very informative, kind, and compassionate staff. I brought my cat in today for scabs on his chin that he scratched open and bleeding on and off. The girls at the front were very kind over the phone and in person. They were able to fit me in same day within a few hours. My little old man doesn’t like to be handled much especially around his face but the doctor and technician were very gentle and patient with him, giving him breaks when needed. I’m very happy with the care received today and learned that cats can have acne like humans! We got some medicated wipes to go home with and he seems to be more comfortable already. “Recently went in for my first time. They were easy to book and quick to obtain previous records. The vet tech RJ was phenomenal- knowledgeable, attentive, and very gentle with my baby. I was a nervous wreck and he calmed even my worries. Dr. Amato was amazing and even got Jaxon to take treats at the vet which he has never done before. They were able to administer vaccines and take a blood sample without muzzling Jaxon which my previous vet would say was not doable. Dr. Amato followed up the next day personally to go over blood work results and next step options- very thorough. The front desk staff was polite and respectful from the time of booking, making a deposit, getting records, and checking in and out the day of the appointment.”

“Martinsville Veterinary Hospital is a lifesaver! Our cat had bad digestion issues, and they squeezed us in without an appointment. We only waited about 15 minutes! The place was super clean, and everyone was so friendly and professional.

They did a quick exam and prescribed antibiotics that worked wonders. They were really understanding about our tight budget and even gave us some free donated medications. They also provided a plan of action in case the situation got worse, and told us to contact them asap if it does.

Can't recommend this place enough. It's clear they really care about animals and their humans too. Definitely our new go-to vet!”

“I wanted to thank everyone who was at Madison Animal Hospital yesterday June 14 and around 630pm, I had an appointment scheduled for my hamster to come in for a wellness check on the 23rd and last night things got worse for my little Peach. I called and pressed one for emergency and whomever I spoke to (I was a hysterical mess) calmed me and and told me to come down asap which I am so grateful and thankful for! Again thank you for that. Come to find out my little hammy was very very sick, paralyzed from a tumor she developed. I don't remember anyone's name because It all happened so fast but I want to thank the Vet who found Peaches issues and all the girls who talked to me, calmed me down, reassured me I was a great pet owner. I was devastated that all this happened to my Peach within hours. All the staff at Madison Animal Hospital are so sweet and so kind and they literally were so helpful and helped me make the right decisions on what to do with my baby. I'm thinking people are gonna think I'm crazy for crying hysterical over a hamster, but the staff there knew I loved Peaches with all my hear and kept telling me I wasn't crazy and she was more than just my pet. The front desk receptionist even put out a sign and lit those battery candles for Peaches. Thank you again for everyone that helped me and helped Peaches crossover rainbow bridge . I will never forget how professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and just amazing humans that work in this Animal Hospital. “On Saturday morning, we walked in with an emergency because our 17 year old bestie, Panchito, was having trouble breathing. The staff were so kind and made sure we and our beloved Panchito were comfortable as we said goodbye to our furry family member. They let us spend as long as we needed with him and when we were ready to go they came back with his paw prints for us to keep. Then today, we got a condolences letter from them in the mail letting us know the hospital made a donation to an animal charity in his honor. It was obviously a very painful experience, but we are grateful for the compassion and care shown to our family.”

“I saw Dr. Messina today because my Chiweenie was acting like she had Lyme Disease again. Dr. Messina is awesome, and as a physician I know that she did a very thorough examination, paying particular attention to whether my dog had a heart murmur. Dr. Messina's tech, Bill, is a truly wonderful vet tech. My dog is bitey and crazy, but they treated her in a truly fear-free way, I can't give a stronger recommendation for Dr. Messina and her tech, Bill. I love you guys. Michelle is also a doll.”

My 7 year old beagle is usually is very fearful of vets and groomers (doesn’t even want to go in the door!) but she runs right in and is super happy to see her vet Dr. Seltzer, tail wagging! “The staff are very sweet and my dog and I were very comfortable with the vet. I’m a first time dog owner with a two year old cockapoo. Our previous vet shamed me for not wanting to spay her and give certain vaccinations. The vet here assured me that spaying her is not necessary and we set up a schedule to do minimal vaccinations that I felt comfortable with. He also gave us a recipe to start her on a real food diet which the previous vet told me to only feed dry kibble which I felt wasn’t healthy. Overall, I am very happy to have found them and feel my dog is in the best of hands! I just wish I found them sooner. Prices are reasonable, no upselling”
