The lady over the counter who took keys for my drop off charged me extra day even when I dropped off my car by time as per agreement. I even requested if she can acknowledge my exact time drop off , but she told I’m good because I dropped off keys by the time and still did additional charges . Avoid drop offs at this location.

This is the worst rental place ever. I made a reservation online. Got a confirmation and when I showed up after paying for an Uber - was told no cars left. No sorry, no explanation only I told them to turn it off online. Literally do not waste your time. Such a nightmare. She didn’t even offer to call other locations simply said you could try Rutherford. I ended up going to enterprise in Clifton.

Trust the other reviews. The worst location budget has. The staff is rude. Washroom dirty. Was supposed to pick up the car at 8am. They didn't have it ready. Drove me to another location for picking up the car. Didn't have their seatbelt on, jumped two traffic lights.While they drove me to the other location, didn't let my copassengers wait inside the office. They had to stand outside in 40 degrees.

I been renting from budget for years and this is one of he worst locations I ever been too. I booked a rental her and pre-paid online. Normally when cars are sold out it wouldn’t allow you to book and will say it’s sold out nope not here I get here it’s we don’t have any cars but you can try the Rutherford location. You would think the old lady in the front would make a courtesy call to the next location and see if they have cars and transfer your booking. Nope she just sat down and went on about her day. Now I see why they have the reviews they do !

Jesus christ how are these people in business? the lady at the front desk is rude as hell.. Ok i get it you don’t enjoy life and i’m sorry this is where you are at at this point in your life but you don’t gotta be rude to everyone that walks through that door.. How are they still in business? Go somewhere else.

Wow !!! Absolutely the worst!!! Had 2 reservations with 2 separate locations for a rental and one location calls me to tell me I'm on a waiting list I call customer service they send me to a second location which two old people are basically like screw you we have nothing but go here get in an Uber and go to tjr 3rd budget ! They tell me the regional manager doesn't allow them to post sold out!!! Absolutely no regard for people

Horrible experience, Avoid this location at all costs. Made a reservation online only to be refused at the counter. Was told to go to the Hertz up the street and i was able to get a rental.Just for confirmation, i called the Budget office to ask them if there was another way to run my information. Not only was the agent of no help, i heard her mocking my call to her co-worker.And now found out I've now been charged $50 for Budget cancelling my rental.My advice, go to the Hertz location on Grant and save yourself the time, money, and aggravation.

My husband and I were sent to this location from Bayonne, because there were no trucks in Bayonne, even though he made a reservation in advance. The employees (Ken and the lady) told my husband he is on the DO-NOT-RENT list in their system and refused to give him the truck. Instead of finding out what was the problem, Ken just gave us a corporate phone # (your call goes to a voicemail box). We drove back home to NY. By the time we came home, I was finally able to get in touch with the rep from Budget who said that it was a mistake on budget's end and we can come back for the truck. Ridiculous ! We had three guys at our house, waiting for that truck to help us load stuff into that. What a waste of time and money, pitiful company, zero respect to its customers. I'm escalating my complaint, this has to stop

What an Awful experience. They didn't provide me with the right sized truck, they wouldn't give me the truck for the full day even tho it was specified in my reservation, and then their system conveniently went down at the end. I wasted my time going with them. I should have expected this considering all the bad reviews.I ended up reserving a Penske Truck while in their parking lot. I should have known better. Buyer beware

I would give this place 0 stars if that were an option. I am writing this review to inform the public about this Budget location. I have attempted to contact Ken Book, owner of this Budget location in Lynhurst, NJ numerous times regarding the unauthorized charges that were initialized by his location to my company debit card, which resulted in him charging my debit card for over $13,000.Mr. Book will not provide me with why my company was charged for these amounts including authorization forms and receipts that I have requested on plenty occasions - his response is was to contact Budget Corporation when in fact he stated previously that I signed an authorization form for him to charge my debit card for that amount when I in fact did not.He has not produced one single document showing that I authorized those charges and for what. I tried to contact their corporate headquarters on many occasions, but I have not had any success of getting through to someone who can help - I am constantly being put on hold or the phone disconnects. What this Budget location did is FRAUD and the owner and Budget will be held accountable.

I rented a car for 2 days over the weekend and it was a seamless experience. The owner was kind enough to call on the previous day and let me know about a delay in picking up the car, and she adjusted the drop off time accordingly. Just went in, showed my license, and I was off. Would definitely rent a car from this location again.
