“Post office gets a bad rap sometimes. But anytime I've dealt with either the Annex or the main PO on Lincoln Place service is outstanding. Kudos to the Madison NJ post office team.”

They go above and beyond and they are always kind and helpful. I lost a receipt a few weeks ago, and they took the time to retrieve it for me without hesitation. “Wow I cannot say enough amazing things!!! I had an AWFUL experience Monday in Cranford trying to do a name change on my passport. I walked in and no one wanted to help me despite having an appointment, and they also told me I had the wrong form (it ended up being the correct form). After 45 minutes, my gut told me to leave and go to another post office. I walked into Fanwood today and was so pleasantly greeted by Evans who told me I indeed had the right form and walked me through the entire process. He was so wonderful and knowledgeable, and I am so happy my instincts told me to try another post office. Had I submitted my application the way they were advising, I would have received a rejection letter and wouldn’t have my passport in time for my vacation. Highly recommend Fanwood. They are truly wonderful here.”
“Unfortunately I don’t know her name. Was there today Wednesday Sept 17 th approximately 3pm. She was soooo nice, and sooo helpful. Moved to Rockaway 6 months ago and still trying to find our way around. Have been in post office before but never met this very kind and knowledgeable lady. I was a little frustrated with the day I had and had to get a money order which I didn’t know bank does not do.They told me to go to post office. So I proceeded to post office. She was soooo nice and helpful. Didn’t know what to expect because being new in the area I thought “ great another aggravating situation “. Just want to make sure you know who I’m speaking of. again Sept 17th about 3PM. She was soooo nice great, helpful and felt Rockaway may have been a good move. Thank you sooo much postal worker on that day and time.”
“I have been to this office many times. It is always well stocked with boxes and envelopes of all sizes as well as greeting cards. The premises are clean and the lines are minimal except around closing time.
Tara, the office employee, goes above and beyond to provide phenomenal service. I was shipping a box, which I purchased at the post office. It comes with tape stickers but they weren’t strong enough. Tara graciously offered to double tape the box for me with her own personal supplies of duct tape. She also advised me on the best box size for my items so that I don’t overpay. Great service and reasonable prices!”

I actually go out of my way to use this location over others nearby. The service is consistently friendly and efficient, with the exception of one newer employee who seems less approachable. Lines can get long due to customer delays, not staff, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. The space is small but functional, and they have a fun selection of envelopes. Overall, a great post office.”

“Reviewing the post office based on how they handle your passport application is just stupid. This is a post office. They handle mail. And parcels. They sell stamps. And money orders. Yes, they are required to handle passport applications, but forcing other customers to wait while you ask stupid passport questions whose answers can be found online or fill out forms that should be completed ahead of time is inconsiderate and self-centered.
The postal operations at this facility are first-class. I’ve been a customer here for decades and, other than some occasional grumpiness, have never had a service problem. They are efficient and very knowledgeable.”
“I had the pleasure of being assisted by Lovida at the post office, and I must say, she completely turned my experience around. After two previous visits, one being a walk-in and another an appointment that had to be rescheduled due to short staffing… I was beginning to feel a bit frustrated. But the moment I walked in on the third time, Lovida greeted me with a cheerful smile and made me feel completely at ease. Not only was she warm and friendly, but she was also incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist truly made me forget about the previous inconveniences I had faced. I highly recommend seeking out Lovida’s assistance if you’re ever at this location—she’s a true asset to the team!”

“Typically, any trip to the post office is associated with a groan, procrastination, then a period of denial. My wife and I couldn't put it off any longer. Holiday gifts had to go and we're in a pandemic. Our local post office was out of the question so we thought, try a new place.So glad we drove to the Park Ave., USPS. Erik was the clerk and he was extremely friendly, patient and professional. Took the time to advise us on our packages and delivery options and we in no way felt rushed. It was hard to imagine we were in a United States Post Office. Haven't had an experience like that in decades.Parking is fairly easy, lines were not very long despite holiday season rush on a Saturday morning. Also, there is disabled parking (which I utilized), directly in front as well as wheelchair ramp access for those who require it.Stay safe and be well...”

They aren’t open for many hours, but it’s always perfect to stop in on my lunch break!”
