“I am a sucker for old buildings and books, so when The Book Barn popped up on my Instagram feed, I knew I had to make the trip.

Walking into a centuries-old barn with books stacked from floor to ceiling feels like stepping into another era. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and if you wander all the way to the back, you’ll discover a clothing shop and a room full of housewares. I found shelves of delicate china and vintage dinnerware at prices that made me do a double take.

My only real complaint is that Saturday mornings are busy. Because everything is donated, this isn’t the place to hunt for the newest bestseller. It’s where you come for the experience, the possibility of stumbling across something unexpected, and the thrill of finding a great deal on a forgotten gem.

I have a feeling this place is going to be even more magical in the fall. I’ll definitely be back.”

And boy what awesome groovy furtnitrue they have for all price points. Even a custom made Ralph Lauren piece for $5,500 that ysed to be $10k+. And for people like me- expect to find many cool pieces from the mid 19th century, to a big 1968 TV, to the mid 2020s! Yep, this place has got it all and the kindest people to boot. Much appreciated to the whole gang, E.J. Carlos and everyone else who was in today- you all made it a great store! Thank you for honoring Jimmy Carter's memory with this friendly and kindhearted charity store with truly GROOVY STUFF! Cant wait to come back”

“Love this place and the Staff too! I love to come here and browse like my mother used to do in the stores of Brooklyn, NY. You never know what new treasure(s) you'll stumble upon and walk out with. And believe me it's never a sudden impulse buy or a pressure purchase.
You will go home items that pull at your heart strings because they remind you of someone who was/is special in your life. I'm a man, so guess what caught my eye? Almost an exact duplicate double boiler my mom use to use when I was a kid. She would use it to reheat items in the top with boiling water on the bottom. That was our equivalent to microwaves today. The main thing I remember though was she would cook franks in the bottom and heat up the Campbell's pork and beans on the top. What a great meal that was!
The point is, go to Willing Hearts and find things current and things from years ago. Even if you don't buy something this time, it is fun to see all the things around the store. This store deserves 5 stars.”

“We love coming here and it’s always a successful thrift visit! It’s so important to check their Instagram for sale information, I got a stylish jacket for half off— at $3! Be strategic with your thrifting ;) Still, you can find really nice pieces for less than $10. Although some other reviewers consider them a bit more expensive, it is a smaller space with clean items of light wear (more than worth it AND sustainable to me). If you are looking for name brands or trinkets like Lenox, their upstairs consignment is perfect, but at a higher price than the thrift. I have recommended so many friends and family (men and women) here, and it’s a great place to find special gifts for others. Love it!”

“This is a great place if you are looking for used clothes or household items. Great deal for a variety of books, only ~$1 depending on hard or soft cover. Also has a nice selection of seasonal items like beach/pool toys and bathing suits in the summer. Sometimes they have large baby items like cribs, but they have a room with baby clothes upstairs.”

“Great selection of clothes and furniture. No jewelry or higher end bric-a-brac selection though. They’re probably selling all that stuff online nowadays… I just wish I knew where….
I remember when the Salvation Army and the Goodwill’s always had a jewelry/ silver counter and sometimes with porcelain or vintage ceramics. I don’t think people have stopped donating that kind of stuff away?”

“I had a great experience at the Goodwill store thanks to Jamaury. He is kind, honest, and extremely helpful. From the moment I walked in, he showed genuine care in assisting customers and made the entire experience smooth and pleasant.

Jamaury stands out for his professionalism and positive attitude. He is clearly dedicated to his work and provides excellent customer service. It’s rare to see someone so committed and responsive to customer needs.

I strongly suggest management recognize his efforts—he truly deserves a promotion to the next level and a raise. He is well qualified and an asset to the team.”
