1427 Lakewood Road, ManasquanI was given the referral to Squan Animal Hospital from a customer at my job. He had really wonderful things to say about them so I decided to give them a call. The consultation was a reasonable price so I figured why not give it one last shot. This was my third opinion for a tumor removal on my 11 year old Frenchie’s back leg and I went in there with the smallest bubble of hope that there would be anything they could do to help me. I met Dr. Moreau (who is so kind and amazing!) and I was thrilled when he told me he would be able to remove a majority of the tumor. He was very thorough with explaining to me that he would not be able to get all of it, but he would do his best. I knew that financially an amputation was not going to be something I could do at this time. My goal was to de-bulk the tumor and get as much time with my buddy as I could. He is otherwise totally healthy so I needed to do something! Dr. Moreau was able to do the surgery at a very reasonable rate. From the first day, we walked into that office we were treated with nothing but kindness and friendliness! The girls at the front desk were all wonderful, very helpful and accommodating. They were great anytime I called or sent a text with questions. When Jack had his procedure done, he was very unhappy coming out of the anesthesia and one of the girls wrapped him in a blanket and put him on her lap until they called me to come pick him up. When she told me he spent some time on her lap I was so appreciative and grateful for the love she gave him. It’s what we all hope happens to our pets when we entrust them to somebody else’s care! All of our aftercare visits were wonderful as well. A couple of these visits were with Dr. Levin and he was just as kind and thorough as Dr. Moreau. Everything was explained to me from beginning to end and all my questions were answered. The entire staff at Squan Animal Hospital is amazing! I have nothing but positive things to say about all of them and my experience there. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a new vet or a very competent surgeon for their pet. My sincere thanks to everyone at Squan Animal Hospital for making my experience stress free and easy! Jack thanks you as well for the impeccable care and all the love you gave him!

152 Main Street, ManasquanMy husband and I are obsessed with duck we love it! Well we just had our best duck meal ever at the Blend on Main! No fancy sauces, just the most tender perfectly seasoned meat cooked to perfection. This duck was served with bubbles and squeak ( I had to ask) potatoes and cabbage! OMG my first time indulging and it was wonderful! Perfect side. Do yourself a favor and get over to try this. Our appetizer was our new fav…the tuna bites…one of the best appy’s I have ever had. We were too full for dessert but the desserts were awesome as well. One of the reasons we over did it with the bread, but it’s soooo good homemade crisp crust with a sprinkle of salt. Five stars for our meal!

The Peach Pit Cafe
152 Main Street, ManasquanI visited the Peach Pit Cafe in Manasquan for breakfast and had a really good experience overall. It is a nice little spot, and we were seated right away by the friendly staff. Just a heads up on parking—it can be a bit difficult with the street parking, but there are some spots available in the back.
They have a fantastic breakfast menu with lots of delicious items to choose from. I ordered the basic eggs over-easy with fried potatoes, rye toast, and a side of bacon. The coffee tasted good, and all of my food was cooked perfectly.
My only real disappointment was the bottomless coffee. Unfortunately, our server never came back to our table to offer us drink refills. That aside, it is still a great local place, and I would definitely recommend checking it out!

I'm not supposed to be eating gluten which makes it hard to order at most places, but they have an extensive gluten free menu including chicken parm, mozzarella sticks, etc. and it all tastes completely the same as the regular stuff and is really good. I think their kid has celiac so they go out of their way to accommodate.

121 Parker Ave, ManasquanMy favorite Surf Taco because they give you a bowl of chips with a combo platter instead of just a few chips on the platter like other Surf Tacos'. Love the crunchy beef tacos. They are to die for. The Baja salsa is delicious.

2655 River Rd, ManasquanWell, I start off with a good point. The service was outstanding. Crabcakes were awful just filler as for a burger, medium rare on the rare side came out burnt and medium. Well, they did take both items off the bill, which was very nice of them. two piece man playing awesome place would try it again. I think they just had a bad night.
