Was in there the other night as I was looking for things somebody was talking to me through the isles, where they were, which was very nice and much appreciated. Then I bought all of my items up to the cashier. Her name was Jewell she was one of the nicest people I have ever encountered in that store. She even gave me a five dollar coupon to use for my purchases way to go. You should double her salary she makes me want to come in again.

I would Love to be able to give this store a higher rating especially with the new renovations, lots of space to maneuver and tons of additional products. However the problem with this store is the manager Steve. Sorry Steve over the past few years living in the area and shopping here, I've witnessed poor management, a lack of desire to assist the customer and down right lie to my face.Recently I went in a few elderly people who receive OTC benefits, a few Insurance companies have partnered with Dollar General so people can shop for goods. Now Steve lied right to my face about NOT taking United Healthcare and that his New Computer system was not set up to accept United Healthcare only some other company he stated. He continued to tell me that the new and smaller Dollar General up the road had the old system so they can probably do it but he wasn't sure. Well Steve I found out the facts are Your New System absolutely accepts United Healthcare and it's a press of 1 button since you scan the card, the other company you suggested uses a Visa card. Now Steve no offense but for every customer you are turning away from Your store you just lost hundreds if not thousands of dollars per day for your company. The day I walked in you turned away $500-$600, so I took everyone to Stop and Shop where they accept the OTC cards as well. You as a manger if what you had said was true, would have contacted the nearest Dollar General to ask their manager if the system was in tact at their location. Instead you looked at former computer programmer and lied to my face. So I sought the truth because I like Dollar General and they shouldn't lose business because Steve just doesn't care about the company or the customers. I've worked retail in the past, I've managed, I've worked a lot of different positions, but here's 1 thing I learned when you work do the best at your job, you want something better then find it but don't Slack and give excuses. Your position Steve is Sales, so learn to sell. If a customer asks for something You carry, walk them to the aisle and put it in their hand or cart. 9 times out of 10 they will buy the product and possibly more.Now to the rest of the staff there, We appreciate you and hope to see more smiles, hopefully corporate replaces Steve with a more team oriented manager because the renovations are Amazing and more people should return to have been turned away.

The new renovations are awesome! Very easy to get in and get out fast, and many items you wouldn’t normally find at a dollar general are here!

Be ware of correct change being given back...I walked in bought 5 dollars in items with a 10 dollar bill and was supposed to get 4 dollars and 80 cent back that's what the receipt said ..lady gave me 55 cent and told me have A nice day then closed the register for the evening I had to go to the manager to get my extra quarter back. It's petty but in the time of inflation impact is heavy on a minimum wage customer. When I told the manager he got angry and had some sarcastic remark...guess what pal u just lost my business...I made sure I told him teach his workers how to count..

I have never seen it met more miserable people then these dollar generals out here the other one isn’t as bad but this place must only hire people with no personality don’t say hello don’t say have a nice day don’t smile and while your shopping you can hear then complaining about the customers and there jobs most my experience with this chain has been terrible customer service. I know people who have applied and been overlooked and what I see they got overlooked for is a shame. Don’t hire people that don’t want to be there and don’t know how to be approachable.

I had a bad experience at that placeI am a Registered nurse living in a senior community. The woman by the name of Meghan was very arrogant disrespectful because I didn’t know how to download coupon on the app. What a disgraceKept yelling that she is the manager no patience for senior abuse of power. She needs to learn how to talk to customerEven difficulty customer yelling in front of other customers. I will never go back thereShe needs management training instead ofAbuse of power and threats to customersI gave 1 star but she deserves zero starWhat ashamed. You will looseof customers . I will never go back there and I will make sure I tell my fellow nurses to stay away from that storeIt can be viewed as elderly abuse

I approached the register with a full cart of goods. NO may I help you; NO can I help the next customer;NO greeting of any kind. Now Rachel is approximately in mid to late 60s in age. I approached the register. I started to explain to Rachel that a couple of items were mispriced. Rachel became defensive, sarcastic & all around rude. She spoke so fast I couldn't keep up with her badgering me. Honestly, she was so agitated I was a bit frightened. NOT SURE why a full grown adult woman would have such behaviors?? ?? ??THANK GOD for Leah! Leah appeared. Leah was professional, knowledgeable & pleasant to speak with. If it wasn't for LEAH I would have abandoned that cart ASAP; gotten out of that store; NEVER TO RETURN. THANK YOU Leah for your dedication to your job & taking care of this customer properly. I give LEAH 1K STARS IF I COULD.
