“I always had a fear of walking into a gym and working out with a group of people. Two months ago I took a step in the right direction, out of my comfort zone, and walked into Wenonah Fit Body Boot Camp. Immediately, after meeting the owners, I felt comfortable. They create an environment for all ages and fitness levels. The trainers push you, but in a way that helps you develop at your own pace. It’s worth every penny! Fun and you feel like family!”

“I love this gym! I do the group classes, Not only are the workouts just planned out perfectly but it’s the people too. I’ve written reviews before about fort delco but right now I am experiencing an injury, arthritis in my knee and it’s so nice every time I go the coaches ask how your feeling and help you modify and they truly care! It’s like home away from home feeling, I can’t say enough about toms gym, it’s a very special place !!”

“I LOVE the workouts, coaches, staff and members at Orange Theory greatly. The variety of workouts is perfect for me (strength, cardio, combos classes, specialty workouts...) I have multiple gym memberships but this is the one I use consistently and that is due to everything listed above but most specifically the coaches and members. The vibes here are so welcoming and supportive that it's almost impossible to not feel like a part of the "gym family." Special shout outs to Coaches Alex, Carly, John, Keith and Tony - always there with the push of motivation for the group when needed. The workouts feel like a group effort and when finished the accomplishments, there are shared with high fives, encouragement and shared goals for the next efforts. If you tend to wander around a gym not sure what to do, if you lack motivation to stick to a routine, or just aren't sure where to begin on your fitness journey - try OTF Washington Twp. and you will not be disappointed.”

“Fun, friendly, inclusive atmosphere. Everyone roots for each other so it's easy to progress. The coaches are knowledgeable and attentive. They have a Strong Start program before actual classes so you can get the form down and understand the language and format. They make the work fun. Definitely worth it.”

“I’m coming up on 1 year at Loyalty, after working out at a commercial gym for 5 years. I hurt myself lifting in 2020 and needed a herniated disc removed. After it finally healed I gained a ton of weight and needed to workout again. In my 1 year at CrossFit Loyalty I’ve lost 40lbs and I’m stronger than I was before my injury.Justin, along with the other coaches, helped me work around my injuries and get me to where I’m at today.”

“Purpose built facility. I appreciate that! I don't need to pay for a smoothie bar and yoga classes that I'll never use. Daily rates are nice, so you can try it out and not be on the hook for anything long term if it's not for you, but longer term rates are available if you'd like!”

“I just did my first class and I was VERY intimidated after not being in a gym for years. It was amazing. Anthony was very gracious and taught about the exercises and equipment and made it both challenging and manageable for me to get started. I didn't feel judged or intimidated at all and instead felt very welcomed like a family. I'll definitely be back and recommend it to others!”

“This place has become a second home to me. I have been a member for over 10 years and I still love it. The reconditioning classes give you a full body workout. The strength classes allow you to challenge yourself and personal training is top notch. The instructors are all amazing. I can’t say enough about how much this place has changed my life.”

“I highly recommend Evan as a personal trainer. He's always one step ahead and does everything to make the right training plan for your goals. He's very flexible with appointment times and even making up missed appointments. I just completed three months of personal training and I learned a lot and reached new PRs.”

“I always loved the rec center when I went to Rowan. The gym is solid and has been renovated within the past few years. Basketball court is open most of the time, staff is nice, pool is nice, everything is pretty clean. Anecdotally, it's one of those places I feel pretty nostalgic about now that I'm out of college and in the real world”

“A meat head gym- no doubt! This place is typically not staffed except for when a new member needs to sign up and makes arrangements ahead of time by calling or e-mailing now. You can even get a 1 day pass online and not have to make actual contact nor is it expected probably. For the monthly pass, with no enrollment fees, mind you, you would need to make an appointment the first time around. If you can make it at least 5 times to the gym within the month, then it is worth getting the 24-7 access by the month. Most gyms wanted to charge me an enrollment fee for a partial one month period, and it was just not worth it to do that for me. Most gyms don't have 24-7 access and those that do will tack on this enrollment fee. I was planning to work out manually but then I had thought of this gym and tried asking and glad I did! There are showering facilities which I wouldn't have expected, but it's super nice to know that I don't have to leave sweaty and head straight back home if I don't want to. Definitely a potential incentive to keep working out and makes it feel less like a stressful event. One of the showers doesn't even work currently, but there are two others that do. The toilet paper rolls look worn out and it feels like if they were fixed, some musclehead might accidentally break it again by pulling too hard on it. Another one, during one time I was there, the water was accidentally left on and I turned it off, I could see how one might be in a hurry and not have closed the faucet all the way. You just try to do the right thing with minor things like that. Most clients probably would prefer to drive home and use their own comfortable shower rather than the one provided here. There are also a few bottles of wipes provided, but I was probably the only one who would use them or maybe they would only be used by others if sweat got on the equipment. There's a whole array of apparel from online that can be shipped directly to you and pictures of history and pride of the gym and the owner's past interests and successes. I can't fully appreciate the equipment that is here nor understand how to use much of it. I tried to look what equipment was what and how to use it when I could and sometimes I just did things by looking and feeling them out enough but making sure I could handle the weights and such if things didn't quite go as I expected. The only thing I wish this gym and most gyms could have is an optional local community event to get together and just chit chat once in awhile, maybe like every month or 2 or 3 months. I have run into a few that do this or did this once in a rare occasion to try it out, but it is a way to try to build community so that I'm not just showing up and leaving. Gyms that have classes, as I can't make those regularly, I'm not able to socialize that way. So, the classes have become not a big deal to me. The personal trainers I've tried at other gyms is hit or miss, more miss The trainers I tend to like to work with the least are the ones that have been hired through a mainstream gym because many of these people only want to work with certain clientele and they may do things like not show up to their appointment or put someone else in place when that is not the standard practice at most gyms (and this probably should be the standard practice at most mainstream gyms.) They are trying to go for the "relational" connection building, but most gyms are way too transient for this on both the client and staff sides to be effective. A few reviews have said that one can just ask others for help. While I probably could've, I did feel like as a non-jock, I would be intruding on someone else's workout and if I asked them something, what could I offer them back that they would want? Sometimes, a "thank you" might be enough, but I guess living in this world and how it's changed and socially, not for the better, I feel uncomfortable without more context. Even something as simple as I recognize that brand name on”

“I've been a member at J&J Fitness for a year and it's been the best thing I'vedone for myself!. Steve is a unique trainer in that he equally emphasizes the importance of exercise, diet, and mental health. He guides you through these steps to physical fitness and maintenance. There is an environment of support/positivity and members at J&J are also inspirational.”

“With a small parking lot and small facility, you might be able to socialize but you might be coming in just to work out and then leaving as in pretty much any place. This place is cash only and let's you pay lump sum and will waive enrollment fee if so. More places are starting to offer the lump sum option now instead of me having to ask for it. I was looking for a gym for one month but it is tough because either I am paying an enrollment fee AND one month which isn't worth it at all, or I pay by the class and some places have very limited hours. I could probably do Planet again or even Orange Theory but I was hoping to find a more local place. If this place was a closer commute for me, it would be worth it for me to sign up for a year. I want a self paced place since most places are either you get pushed and if you take a break or go too slow, you have to leave or are asked what is wrong with you. Everyone has different needs and wants. Or I do not have a budget for a personal trainer and some of the ones I have had at chain gyms are really particular about who they want to work with, and paying in full beforehand is not always enough sadly. I have a gym reimbursement fund but I have used it up for the year and that is a factor that is important to me too. At the end of the day, I understand that part of a gym experience (for me) is picking a place that will not overly stress me out. Accessibility and getting for what I paid's worth and all the peculiarities are important to me. You can't get 24-7 access unless you pay for a full year. This was probably the biggest clincher for me. Also as it is a small community atmosphere gym, holiday hours are not necessarily reflected on signs and website. You just have to ask or make it work. It is also cash only. 12/22/23 addition: When I first came to ask about enrollment options during hours, they were closed early for that and I got an announcement through the Ring bell to come back the next day, which thankfully I could. When I came back the next day, I was told a little story about how a "bum" came up one time just fiddling around with the door like nobody's business. Then, when the owner spoke through the Ring bell, the "bum" thought Jesus had spoken to him and he behaved himself after that! The joy of technology!! In my opinion, this is a good gym choice if you want a self paced workout and can pay in full for the year for the 24-7 access. Also, if you aren't looking for something that has a clean and polished look, which I don't need but I am open to either way, this is a good choice.”

“This place is so much more than a gym. And it truly lives up to its name. The Legion has transformed me. Forget about the fact that I’ve lost over 25 pounds since I started going there in April 2021, and forget about the fact that I have become stronger than I ever thought I could be, this place has given me a new sense of community a sense of belonging somewhere and has made me proud of myself. The coaches are phenomenal. They are patient when they need to be and tough when it matters. They are all incredibly knowledgeable about strength training and physical fitness and have coached me through ups and downs along the way. I was injured on vacation this past summer and the coaches went out of their way to provide me with alternative workouts to make sure that I still felt like a member of this group. That meant so much to me and you don’t find that other places. They really do care. I think the best thing about Legion is that it is a “come as you are “kind of place, which was best said by another member. If you are an incredible athlete, this place is for you. If you are just starting out and are at level zero, this place is also for you. It takes all shapes and sizes and fitness levels and everyone is welcome and will leave feeling happy yet exhausted. I love Legion and will never go to another gym. Maria McCall - Springfield PA”

“Nicole has nailed it! After many years of struggling to "like" going to the gym, I finally realized why I always fall off that wagon. Working with Nicole is personal. She created a program that would help me achieve my goals (I was no longer guessing what machines to use at the gym.) Beyond helping me achieve my physical goals, Nicole pointed out the mental and emotional "blockages" that kept me from progressing. Throughout the program, we talked weekly about food, attitude towards working out, my personal obstacles, and how to move forward even when I felt like my whole world was caving in on me. The Shape It Up program is more than just doing squats and looking better. It's truly about FEELING better and accomplished at my own pace. It caters to my personal needs. I highly recommend this program for any woman living the crazy busy life that most of us have fallen prey to. THANK YOU NICOLE!”

“When I stepped into @crossfit1force two years ago, I didn’t know what to expect. Sure, I was looking for a new fitness challenge, but just the idea of #crossfit was pretty intimidating. From day 1, I knew I had stepped into a special place. Every single coach is more than a master at their craft; their steady encouragement and instruction did more than help me become stronger—they all made me feel like I belonged there. I can now box jump a 20-inch box, when the 12-inch used to scare me. When I started, I could deadlift 55#, I can now deadlifted 145#. I’m working on getting toes-to-bar, and I will be downright thrilled when I finally do an unassisted pull-up, a feat I’ve never done in my entire life. (I plan on recording that for posterity.) Best of all, friends like My Two Stephs That Keep Me Honest make every workout fun. @stephdibart has pushed me to be better since my very first class; every day I look forward to her tough love that always comes with a smile. @jesse.crespo & @ek1force you’ve created a magical place – thank you and thanks to the whole 1Force family! #createdbycrespo #crossfit1force #couldnthelpgettingsentimental”

“If you are into bodybuilding/Powerlifting and are looking for the right place, this is it. This is practically the east coast Mecca. Not only it has all the old school natilus equipment and even older York dumbbells, but it has decades of history in the making with pictures of the greats on the wall. From insider info I found that there really isn't much written of the place and I never do reviews so here's one.”

“This is a good gym and a very welcoming gym! Please update the padding though, I’ve notice the leg extension machine and the bicep preacher curl machine have been destroyed the past month and no one has done anything for it. They both could just have the top protective cover cut off but it’s been so long now under that is probably messed up now too. No hate, it’s a very good gym still. Welcoming staff and the nutrition shop is well managed!”
