“We were shopping for an entrance door for our home, and had actually purchased one at Home depot. While not being the exact door we were looking for, we were short for time as the installation as part of the project was near. A friend of mine suggested going to Home Surplus in Keyport N.J. and had mentioned that Michelle Hunt had helped him purchase a kitchen and design it with him. We went to Home Surplus with 4 days remaining till our project was about to start, and found the door there that we had been looking for. Michelle was very helpful with planning the door, as well as the staff who were additionally helpful. They actually build the door jambs onsite to the configuration you need. Ours being a single door with a side light. The door came out beautiful, they had it ready in 2 days and delivered it to coincide with the installation date. I highly recommend visiting Home Surplus for your building or renovation needs.”

“We decided to bite the bullet and do a major kitchen and primary bathroom renovation at the same time. Took quite a bit of time talking to people and visited several potential firms to do the renovation. We went with Alfano because of their professionalism when we visited and from a few solicited opinions; they had done work in our building before. It was a mess for a few weeks, then started looking good, and finally was beyond our expectations in looks and quality at the end. Pretty much finished the major work as scheduled. Great design team, they work well together and have a good system configured to try to minimize your downtime. They worked well on the fly when we noticed things we wanted done a little differently or weren't enamored with as they started on things. Our end result is pretty much perfect. We did experience a little of that "we're nearly done and have moved on to another project" thing that is pretty typical of contractors - I've come to expect this as a pretty much routine (and understandable) practice. They did get to everything in the end. Can't say enough nice things about them. We will likely be doing a few more although smaller projects in the future and they will be the first call. Price was pretty much as expected and quality is very, very good. Great advice on the sub work as well, such as shower and bathroom glass. Worth every penny.”

“I had a leak in my bathroom sink. Turns out I had a broken hose in my bathroom vanity. It 25 years old. Had 2 different plumbers come & tell me it can't be fixed... Buy a new vanity. After going to 15 or so vanity/tile stores between staten island & new jersey, i find out no one makes eggshell vanities anymore. I finally went to the tile store where I bought the sink 25 years ago. I met the owner Anthony. He didn't have what I needed but he turned me on to a plumber who happened to know what I needed & happened to have spare parts in his truck. Within 1/2 hour my sink was fixed. Anthony called the next day to see how it went. He then ordered 2 spare hoses so i'd have them if I ever needed them. He went above & beyond. He could have tried to sell me a new vanity and he didn't. Bravo Anthony. I appreciate your help. Thank you.”

Catherine and Joe were the best part of my remodeling project. Their knowledge and professionalism is what makes them the best. However, their honesty is what separates them from the rest. I found everything here from my floor to backsplash and fireplace. I love them here at ideal tile because of how they take care of their customers from start to finish!”
