Very disappointing and upsetting experience.
Went there twice in a row day after day to refill propane but the certified person was not there every time. Nobody really seems to care for the propane customers and know the proper working hours for that service.
Called the manager this morning to complain, but she didn't seem bothered and said it was just the case and she can't do anything about it. THEN CHANGE THE WORKING HOURS ON GOOGLE, MAAM!
WHY make customers visit for NOTHING! You just made us waste our TIME, MONEY and EMOTIONS for NOT KEEPING YOUR WORD ON YOUR BUSINESS. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Especially when you represent a big company. You are degrading the company's image for sure.

here are my issues:
1.) when renting on the website, there were things I declined and they showed up in my checkout. If i didn't catch them, i would have been charged
2.) i did request an appliance dolly. when i picked up the equipment, there was no appliance dolly available. I was told they are on a first come first serve basis.
3.) we picked the truck up in the morning. Loaded it and tried to depart in the afternoon. When we tried to leave, the battery on the truck was dead. I jumped the truck and saw that the cab light was on. Clearly, the light was on when we picked up the truck and we didn't notice it since it was daylight.
4.) my wife picked up the truck for me. When I started driving, I immediately could tell that the truck had a bad tirod end or steering gear. It was a nightmare to drive.This was not the only mechanical problem. After making a turn, the truck was slow to straighted out. This is usually a sign that the steering is out of alignment. I have worked on cars for years and I know what I am talking about.
5.) We returned the truck after hours. I then get a bill mailed to me that indicates a $20 charge for dropping the truck off after hours. I did not see that charge pointed out anywhere when I completed the request for the truck.
6.) I called the manager to discusss these issues. I did receive a call back. However, I was told that he took the truck for a ride and felt there were no issues. He did say that I may have had issues, but he didn't
I have rented many times from Uhaul in the past and I can easily say that this was the worst experience I have ever had. I wish you good luck if you rent from these folks in Middletown, NJ.

I needed a truck last minute and I called the Middletown NJ Uhaul on 8/30/23 and spoke to Benjamin. He was fast and efficient. He looked around and found the exact size truck I needed and reserved it for me. Thank you so much Benjamin for all your help. Your awesome!

I rented a truck on Thursday when we were loading the truck we noticed it was leaking when I called to tell them he said yeah our trucks leak I asked why he wouldn't have told me that when I picked it up in the rain, I told him I was going to have to use one of the blankets to stuff up where it was leaking so it would stop leaking all over my baskets we were loading in the truck for our school gift auction he told me he was going to have to charge me for the blankets as I was driving it the steering wheel had a lot of play in it and the truck was all over the road! I would never rent a truck from them ever again!

I had an appointment scheduled to have my hitch installed on Tuesday. I show up for the appointment only to be told my hitch did not come in as ordered. Rescheduled my appointment for Wednesday. I take time off from work on Wednesday, drop the truck off, and three hours later I am told they can't install the hitch receiver because it is bent. They promise to have the receiver sent overnight from another location, and reschedule my appointment to Friday afternoon. Again, I take off from work to get the hitch installed. I show up at the location, only to find out that the hitch installer went to the hospital for an injury. I ask the GM why he didn't call me to let me know, and he says he was too busy for a 2 minute phone call. I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to get a hitch installed!

Awesome. Exceptional service and attention to customer's needs. Brian fabricated a hitch connection for our vehicle while my husband waited when another U-Haul dealer had nothing to offer. It worked perfectly. He could not have been more helpful or generous with his time.

The young man that Works at this U-Haul helped me a few times a Mr. Brian Williams. He is extremely polite courteous and polite. I utilize this uhaul because I know he works there And that I will have a superb customer service help.. Thank you Brian!!

Needed a truck and some accessories for a local move. Due to COVID there’s supply shortages that are beyond Mike’s control but he did everything to make up for it and make it work out for me. Thanks for helping me in an already stressful situation!
