βHarbor freight is a great place to go buy inexpensive tools for your project or parts for your car, etc. I actually went this time to purchase a gift certificate for my niece's husband for his birthday. It's a great gift for somebody who is mechanically inclined. I know he loved it. I often go there and purchase things for myself. I'm a big do-it-yourselfer so there's always something that I need and they have it.β

(yes we all need a crumb catcher in the image of our farorite 4-legged friend) The tools that feel solid in your hand. It’s the best kind of treasure hunt — practical, nostalgic, and oddly comforting.
Yes, sometimes prices might look a touch higher at first glance — but honestly? Not by much. By the time you order online, pay shipping, and wait for a box wrapped in layers of cardboard, you’re right back at the same cost. And here, you get something Amazon can’t deliver: real help.
The staff here is beyond. Knowledgeable. Patient. Actually interested in solving your problem instead of just pointing you to an aisle. That kind of service is becoming rare.
Places like this are slowly disappearing, and we need to support them while we still can. Skip the extra packaging, save a couple of trees, and walk into your local hardware store.

βCostello's Ace Hardware is my go to spot. There was one located in very close proximity to my Fabrication / Machining / Repair / Detail - shop. 95% of the time they have what I'm looking for. I have gotten to know all the staff and they are always very friendly and accommodating. They also offer my company a business discount which is nice. And they stock a lot more things than you would imagine a hardware store would. I am also a custom builder by trade and they have all types of hardware that I use daily. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed.β
βSkip shopping at big corporates and go to Bartell! I canβt say enough good things about this store! With a major snowstorm coming, I called asking if they had any salt in their inventory and there was, and the owner saved me the last bag (without me asking). To top it off, the staff graciously helped load it into my car so I could get home safely. This is exactly why itβs so important to shop localβyou just donβt get this kind of thoughtful, proactive service anywhere else. Highly recommend!β

βAs a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot.My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.β
βBeen there many times before since it is located down the street from my house. Took my lawn mower there since it wasn't working for some reason, and upon explanation, the store worker determined it was my carburetor. Also offered to sharpen my lawn mower blade since I had never done it before. Within a week, I received my lawn mower again and it has been working as intended. Paid a reasonable price for the service. I have also gotten other items and supplies for projects around my house and the workers there are helpful if I'm looking for something specific.β

βI'm glad I used Google to find this location. My husband only want to use Benjamin Moore paint and this location has the paint and all the extras that you will need. I parked in the front but there is even more parking spaces in the back. The staff was friendly. The lady that helped me did everything from getting the paint, ringing me up and even brought the two 5 gallons of paint directly to the car and placed them inside ?. She lifted the gallons up effortlessly.
When I got home I thought I could do the same thing.
No!
My neighbors Ring camera probably recorded my struggle. ? I will let the contractor remove the remaining gallon from the car.β

βI guess a few years ago they changed the formula for their pigments, and last year I came here and bought the paint that a lot of my house was done in, but it didnβt match at all. I didnβt use it, and brought it back almost a year later, along with a sample of my existing paint, and they matched it most excellently without any additional charge. The woman who helped me was extremely nice, and definitely earned my return business. Thanks for your help. Itβs a near perfect match.β

βWhen the electronic lock in my wife’s store broke I called Bunchers Hardware asking them to recommend a locksmith . I have been shopping there for 25 + years. The women answering the phone, in a pleasant manner , to said “ we have one here and will have him call you .”. Ten minutes later Frank called me and said he would “be there by days end.” He spoke to my wife ,found out her hours ,and arrived after her last customer was seen. The lock was repaired ,and my wife was able to go home knowing the front door was secure. We cannot than Frank and Bunchers enough for quality and caring service
