“I'd like to send a Shout Out to 4 Paws Animal Hospital especially Dr. Darren Wasserstein. I'm not sure if everyone understands the devotion and love one can have for their fur babies. They really become members of the family and are part of your life during good times and bad. Unfortunately, a senior dog begins to need more medical care to keep them healthy and even then, there can be setbacks. Our dog, Ryder began to have heart issues, some seizures and the development of a cough. Nothing has been life threatening, but it has become a trying task to stabilize him. We have been using Dr. Weisenstein for over 30 years. First in Freehold and now at Four Paws as one of the owners. His communication with me has been ongoing; touching base with me on how his day has been. He has been calling me at least two times a week and returning my calls even on his days off. If not for Dr. Weisenstein, we would be scurrying around in a maze not knowing which ailment to approach as the culprit for the day. Right now, Ryder is on a cocktail of meds; tweaking here and there. These tweaks are due to the communication skills this wonderful vet has created with us, the devoted owners. Ryder has no idea how the compassion and skill of his doctor has given him more life to live, and for us to continue to share our lives with him. I highly recommend Dr. Weisenstein at Four Paws.”

“Hands down, the most loving and attentive Vet we have ever been to. We have had many dogs over the years and different Vets before coming to Barnside and truly, Barnside is the gold standard. Dr Sharin couldn't be any more connected to her furry patients. Her staff all love animals as well! The inside of Barnside is just so quaint and relaxing. Welcoming to animals of course but a great little toy space for children too! There are habitats with Gerbils in them, and a hanging bird cage with adorable colorful chirping birds, and what looks like possibly a giant fish tank-in-the-making as well. You may find offices which charge less but the emphasis on prevention of illness is a key to my philosophy of animal care. I don't want to "wait" till my dogs need a Vet because treatment for those things often cost WAY more than preventing an illness. Anyway. We currently have 4 Pets that use Barnside. I wouldn't have anyone else take care of my fur babies!”

Arriving there frazzled with my dog I had forgotten to bring his records from the previous vet and they had no problem reaching out and obtaining them on their own. “Dr. Manziano is a fabulous doctor and also the kindest. We were in her office a few weeks ago to purchase the dog toothpaste. My dog gums had inflammation and her teeth also was covered in tartar. She is rescued dog and I always used regular (best quality) dog tooth paste and obviously it didn’t work. Dr. Manziano’s toothpaste it is a miracle. “What an amazing vet! I called nervous about my puppy’s possible eye infection and they took me 30 minutes later even as a new patient. Everyone from the front desk staff to the intake technician to Dr. Russo is warm, compassionate, and comforting. My baby Bella was completely calm throughout the eye exam and treatment. When I went to take her home she literally bellyflopped at the front door and wouldn’t leave. As I went to scoop her up both front desk people got up front behind their desk without me even asking and playfully interacted with her to coax her out the front door. What a great place!”
