What stood out most was how seamlessly they communicated and collaborated with Red Bank Emergency Animal Hospital. Having both hospitals working together and sharing information made an overwhelming situation so much easier for us and ensured Teddy received consistent, coordinated care.

Dr. C was especially incredible. Every morning when we brought Teddy in to have her medications administered, Dr. C would personally come out to speak with us and get an update on how she was doing. That level of care and personal attention meant more to us than I can put into words.

When your pet is seriously ill, you want to know that the people caring for them truly care — and we felt that from every single person here. We are so grateful for the kindness, communication, support, and exceptional care Teddy received. I would recommend this hospital without hesitation.”

“The best vet around. Dr. Manuel is the most caring and honest vet we’ve ever had, we’re extremely happy we have found this office. His exams are extremely thorough, and never a rush, and it’s easy to get quick appointments.

What was really the telling sign that we’ve found a good vet is we recently had to take our cat to the emergency room when he became extremely sick. The hospital wanted to charge us so much money for so much unnecessary testing, and we left without much answers. After our visit there we followed up with Dr.Manuel as he was still not improving, and he gave us what was necessary to make him feel better, and he was back to himself within 48 hours. Dr. Manuel truly cares and won’t push unnecessary testing on you, and I always recommend him to everyone!

We knew someday we would sadly need to say goodbye. Unfortunately, that time came sooner than we could’ve expected for my beautiful Harley girl. From the onset of symptoms to the day we said goodbye the doctors and all the staff were there to answer questions and lend guidance. Our calls were always returned, questions answered, and love for my girl given. We recently brought our boy in for a checkup and the comforting words from everyone meant more than they will ever know. I completley trust my babies in their care. We may not like to hear bad news but it’s taken better when it comes from someone who loves your pet as well. Thank you for being so wonderful during a difficult time”

“This practice is just wonderful. Our pup Charlie had sudden swelling on his snout & my husband rushed him to this particular vet due to proximity to our home. I am so thankful he did! We moved a few months ago, so we did not officially switch to a closer vet & they took Charlie first thing, without him being an established patient.
They got to the root of the issue immediately & diagnosed him, later treating Charlie via tooth removal surgery 2 weeks later after treating his infection. Just to note- Charlie is also extremely anxious & they treated him with such special care. They even followed up with my husband the day after Charlie’s surgery to check on our little guy. “I’m incredibly grateful to this veterinary team for the care they gave my senior boxer during his mass removal surgery. After calling around to multiple vets, they were able to get us in for a same-day appointment and even safely perform the surgery that same day, which meant so much to me.

I was extremely nervous due to his age and having lost a dog during surgery in the past, but the vet took the time to reassure me and answer my questions. “It's a very friendly and warm atmosphere! There was actually no plan for me to join the last appointment for my pet cat, as another family member tends to bring him, so I was very appreciative of the vet taking time out to speak to me. My cat has diabetes and seems to have some sort of gastric issues, and I was able to discuss these concerns while doing just routine blood work.

When a large dog needed to come out, one of the techs brought my cat out of sight so he wouldn't get scared, and also chatted with me. There are also pamphlets near the desk with information, including about pet insurance that they take. It was overall enjoyable.

The facility is also clean, with some seating, and both stairs and a ramp for access. Though the door is not automatic, it is also not heavy. I did not utilize the restroom, so no notes on accessibility of that at this time.”

“My dog has a Cranial Cruciate Ligament tear in her back left knee. I’ve taken her to a local animal hospital and they were going to charge me,$10,400+ depending on how much anesthesia would be needed. I searched around and called about 15 animal hospital in and around the Philadelphia area and either they didn’t do this type of surgery or they were very expensive. One animal hospital gave me a quote of $10,400 or more. But one animal hospital did give me a list of low cost Veterinarians and on that list was Howell Animal Hospital. I called, and they got me right in for an evaluation. The Dr. did a complete assessment of my dogs injury and confirmed that she does have a Cranial Cruciate Ligament tear and would be needing surgery to repair it. He explained the injury, and actually showed me a video of what the injury looks like, how it affects my dog, the proper procedure to fix it, and how they do the surgery . The procedure is called a TPLO, Tibia Plateau Leveling something, I forget the last word. I thought that was awesome because now I know exactly what my dog is going through, the pain and discomfort she must be in. His assistant, I forget her name but she explained everything to me. The total cost of the surgery is $3860, + $55 dollars to get rid of the waste, and $375 for bloodwork. So a little over$4200 dollars. That’s a big difference from $10,400, what the other places were going to charge me for the exact same procedure. I couldn’t believe it. The staff is really nice and they can’t do enough for you. They really do care about your animals, and you, the owner. I mean, I was blown away by how smoothly everything went and, when I got there, I think I may have waited 5 minutes before they called me back and put me and my dog in a examination room. No waiting time. The hospital is big, very clean, spacious so you’re not on top of other people and their pets. I live in Fairlesshills , Pa and I really recommend Howell Animal Hospital for all your animal care. I will be going back to them for whatever care my dog needs and any emergencies that might arise. I really like and trust this Dr and his staff. I just wish I would have known about this Animal Hospital sooner. They would have saved me a lot of money. Seriously, take your pet there once, if you’re not completely satisfied, don’t go back, but believe me, you’re going to like everything about this Animal Hospital especially the prices AND the care your pet will receive.”

Dr. Smith and her staff were professional, caring, and extremely thorough. So satisfied with the care that I drove 5 hours one way and will drive back in a second!!!”

“Dr.Hughes recently came out to see my horse Gambino when he was colicking, and she was so great. I was so grateful, since we are not clients of Colts Neck Equine but my usual vet was not available, and she still drove from over an hour away to come take care of my boy during an emergency. She did such a wonderful job helping us manage his impaction colic on the farm, coming back again later in the afternoon to give him more fluids when he needed it and checking in with us by phone over the next couple days. “Our Halo had a malignant tumor on her left shoulder which we confirmed by x-ray from our vet on Monday 10-21-19. The manipulation of the x-ray caused her horrific pain during the night and I was desperate to get her relief. Dr. Weinberg answered his phone at 5:30am and verbalized that we were not in his area. After I explained Halo's pain, he agreed to come and euthanized her at home. He was compassionate and got to work right away, explaining the entire procedure step by step. Halo is resting in peace and was at home surrounded by her family when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Thank You to Dr. Weinberg, we are forever grateful.”

They were always available to answer any of my questions or concerns whether it was in person or on the phone. This vet is also very reasonably priced.
