!!!!!READ BEFORE RENTING!!!!!!!
My boyfriend and I rented a car from this location, they called us the day of and pushed our pick up time back an hour because it needed an oil change and new tire. We looked past that. The car was dirty to begin with, inside and out. Ended up just wiping down on the inside of the car myself. We quickly got home, packed the car and started our trip. As we were driving down the NJ turnpike about to cross state lines, I had gone into the console looking for my chapstick I had quickly thrown in there when we picked up the car. Looking in the console, I noticed there was something sticking out of a little cubby. I turned my head and to my surprise, it was weed in the console. Thinking of the fact that we were taking a road trip, going to cross over multiple state lines, unsure if there is anything else in the vehicle, I quickly called hertz corporation to figure out what I needed to do. Long story short, we had to pull over, call the cops, wait for the cops, call hertz corporation back with a police case number, then travel 45 minutes out of our way to a different hertz location, wait in an hour long line and then waited for a manager(who was so nice and understanding of the negligence of his peers at the Morristown location), was able to get us the the same car. Then had to transfer everything out of the one car and into the other. This whole ordeal took 4 hours. 4 hours out of the first day of our vacation. All of this could have simply been avoided if the vehicle was cleaned. Or just CHECKED if your gonna be lazy. The negligence and carelessness of this establishment could have costed us SO much legal issues if we didn’t find the weed. God forbid if we got pulled over? Or if we kept the car after finding it and there was something else in the car? This LOCATION just willingly put our license at risk, ruined the first 2 days of our trip, all because they are careless and lazy.
We called Morristown the following day, and they really seemed unbothered by our deep concerns. All they were able to offer us was to take a day of our trip off of our bill, which was 96$. The service manager then told us he got the car from Paramus Hertz, and Paramus told him it’s was cleaned. I’ve been renting vehicles from the Paramus hertz location for trips since 2015 and have NEVER had a bad experience.
Stay away if you can.

I would give 0 stars if available. I am in a rental now due to an accident. Soon after renting I got a tire pressure low sign, I went to a gas station and a screw in the tire was found. Now the malfunction sign keeps turning on and the radion stays on when I turn off the car. I was given a voucher by Hertz to take the car to a Firestone or Pep boys site. I called Firestone and was told I could come in on Sunday. I went and was told I need to come back on Tuesday. I asked would it be dangerous to drive. He shook his shoulders and said 'could be'
Of couse Hertz is closed.

Hertz in Morristown headquarters plaza is very good and I would highly recommend using them. They are very nice there, rates and car selection is also great. Thanks

Got guaranteed a rental, drove 45 minutes to the location, was told the rental could not be given out. Wasted time, money, and now I’m stranded without a vehicle and no backup plan. Thanks guys!

No parking. Location in downtown. In-center store, it is hard to get in touch via phone.

If you have never been at this location to pick up or drop off a vehicle, I strongly recommend you to look for different locations or different car rental companies. There are basically no signs that would clearly say there’s a Hertz car rental.

I had a reservation at 5 PM. They were completely closed when I arrived before 5pm. All the lights out didn’t even call me to let me know they were closing early.

BAIT AND SWITCH. I reserved a Tesla and was guaranteed a Tesla. After ONE HOUR 45 MIN at the counter because the store only had “smelly Tesla with sticky wheel that I wouldn’t recommend taking” the offered me a gas vehicle but for no extra discounts for the bait and switch i endured, I offered to rent a gas vehicle from that location and then drive to another location to get a Tesla. That was one hour into me being at the counter. Then all of the sudden they tell me there is an insurance concern with EVs (which is fine and I understand but should have been disclosed at booking and when I first arrived). The booking price was $227.18 per my confirmation which INCLUDED all taxes and fees. However the desk manager Edwin castelan told me I was wrong. He also told me he was giving me a free upgrade car but In fact a gas vehicle is not an upgrade.
RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: I did fill out the contact form DAYS AGO and no one has contacted me. You can see my reservation based off my email address from this review.

There was a mechanical issue with one of their cars so I brought it back and they gave me a free upgrade and apologized about the inconvenience. Good customer service but sometimes they have cars with higher miles.
