Harbor Freight Transport Corporation

Transportation
Harbor Freight Transport Corporation is a busy freight business that handles both pickups and deliveries. The check-in process can take some time, with long wait times and a need to wait for a call to be unloaded. Drivers are advised to park on Navy Street for easier check-in, as parking on Craneway Street may require backing out onto Port Street due to one-way restrictions. Once checked in, the loading process generally goes smoothly, especially when drivers have all their information ready, such as pickup number, truck details, and contact info. The staff at the check-in window are usually courteous and respectful, though some drivers have experienced rude or harsh treatment, which may be a result of their own behavior. Loading staff are efficient, often loading trucks quickly, and the forklift operators are praised for their speed. Customer service varies, with some staff members providing exceptional support, particularly one employee noted for going above and beyond to assist with equipment crossing from the port. Overall, the location can be a good place to pick up loads, especially if drivers are prepared and patient, with courteous interactions making the experience more pleasant.
