Home Away From Home Pet Services
55 Tiffany Blvd, NewarkJenny has been taking care of my very skittish VERY anxious pup for years now. I really don’t know what we’d do without her. She’s kind, very patient with him (bless her) and so communicative. We get pictures of him when we’re on vacation and pick up and drop off is always a breeze. As nervous and scared as he is (which makes me worry about him) I know he’s always in good hands with Jenny. We appreciate her SO much!

While doing a couple reviews on recent service, I decided to update this review, because 1 bad experience out of 30+ shouldn’t result in a bad review! This review is from a month ago originally.

Banh & Bo Pho, Banh Mi
194 Market St, NewarkDecent fast casual vietnamese spot. Is it super authentic? Not really. But its good for what it is and being the only vietnamese spot in the area. I've gotten take out a couple times and the banh mi's bread were quite soft and a bit soggy so I had to throw it back in the air fryer. And the pho were very small portions with 4 pieces of thin meat. Other than that, they're quick and friendly with their service.

Konoz Restaurant
108 Jabez St, NewarkI immediately sent my friends the pictures below, excited to have followed up on a recommendation about a PR restaurant. My friend had the Trifongo ( Yuca, Platano, y maduro), served in the typical way. Mine was the mofongo con pernil served in the cone. El platano had a creaminess and the pernil was perfection, seasoning was on point, tender, moist with flavor. Not in the photos but I was happy to have salad green ( romaine, mixed greens) options that I really enjoy. Konoz is definitely on the to do list for those who visit me. I believe in sharing good food.

Red Reisa Grill&Catering we are for one week-friday19th/Through Saturday,06/27th Reopen on Sunday 06/28.
Entrance at, 74 Sussex, 12 Lock St please, NewarkI recently visited Red Reisa Grill & Catering with my wife after passing by it for years on our way to the car wash next door—and I’m glad we finally stopped in.
From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The inside is clean, welcoming, and honestly not what we expected in the best way. The menu has a solid variety, and everything is made to order. Yes, it takes a little time, but that’s not a complaint—good food should take time.
My wife ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and I went with the Newark Cheesesteak. When the food came out, the presentation was on point. The cheesesteak isn’t your typical sandwich—the chef definitely puts his own twist on it. It was flavorful and unique, maybe just a tad salty, but still absolutely delicious. My wife really enjoyed her burger, and the fries were a standout—crispy and well-seasoned.
What really made the experience special was the personal touch. The chef, who is also the owner, came out to talk with us and shared some of the history behind the restaurant. You can see that history on the walls too, with photos that give the place real character.
If you’re in Newark and looking for a great bite to eat, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. We’ll absolutely be back. Honestly, I’m surprised more attention hasn’t been brought here—places like this deserve real support from the community.

810 Broad St. Apartments
810 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard, NewarkI stayed for one month at 810 Broad Street in Newark while completing a medical school rotation, and overall I had a great experience.
When I first arrived, there were a few things that needed attention, but Maurice, the property manager, responded almost immediately and had everything taken care of within about 12 hours. His responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine commitment to making sure I had a good stay really stood out.
From that point on, the rest of my month was excellent. The apartment met my needs, and it was reassuring to know that management was so attentive and easy to work with. I really appreciate Maurice’s effort and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Newark.
