“Solid Dream Black Car Service is an EXCELLENT choice for your car service needs (don't be put off by the company name). For the last year (2018-2019), I have used the car service to take an elderly family friend from her nursing home to medical appointments (she uses a walker). The drivers are extremely careful (driving in New York City can be tricky), courteous and helpful. They arrive early. The cars are in excellent condition and perfectly clean. Prices are reasonable, given the location and quality of service offered. I can only wish Solid Dream Black Car Service also operated in my neighbourhood (Westchester County).”

“The new station is so beautiful- light, airy- a million times better than the old station for Amtrak. There's a fancy entrance with skylight and escalators at 33rd and 7th (you see a perfectly framed view of the Empire State Building as you ride up the escalator), but this is not the quickest entrance for direct access to Amtrak; the entrance on 33rd and 8th is the most direct access to Amtrak (this entrance is on the side with the iconic steps on the outside).There are several waiting/lounge areas for Amtrak passengers. Unfortunately, the gorgeous looking Metropolitan Lounge on the second floor is only for certain passengers (Acela, first-class, Guest Rewards Select Plus and Select Executive). Still, the new lounge areas for the rest of us are still petty nice.Finally, I think the extra space has allowed Amtrak to make boarding a less crazy affair- clearer announcements, earlier boarding. Overall, a gigantic improvement- I always loved Amtrak and I love heading to the station, too.”
