7622 Broadway, North BergenBooked a self-service wash for my rescue, who is eight weeks into our home and on anti anxiety meds. I'd asked for a quiet slot and there were other dogs in, which is entirely on me — they run a busy shop and of course there were.
My dog shut down and refused to go near the wash station. One of the owners read him better than most people read dogs: greeted him correctly, gave him space, and waited until he'd settled before offering food rather than pushing it at him. My dog took it from his hand. When he then got brave enough to start barking at the other dogs, the owner asked him to stop, and he did — for a man he'd met ten minutes earlier.
We left without a bath and I tried to pay anyway. They wouldn't take it.
If you have a nervous or reactive dog, this is the place. Book ahead; their site says Wednesdays and Thursdays have the most openings and weekends fill fast.
I know I will be going back for years to come.

I will start off saying parking is difficult, so arrive early and if you have someone who can't walk, drop them off in front first before parking. Now we recently went, so once we walked in, wow our jaws dropped. It was decorated for the holidays beautifully and with all the antiques, it was just magical! We had a large group so we ordered a bunch of apps to start: Fried calamari, eggplant meatballs (so good), burrata and peppers, salad, and fried zucchini. Everything but the calamari was delish! I would skip the calamari next time, but omg the eggplant meatballs - so good! For dinners we had chicken parms, cannelloni, pastas, seafood salads, you name it we ordered it and everything could have fed someone for days. HUGE portions!!! Will certainly be back and if you haven't been you have to put this place on your must list!
