“We ordered our chair from Kensington Furniture (Steve M) our salesman was an absolute pleasure and he made sure we felt welcome. The lady that rang our paperwork up (Ashley) was pleasant and professional. Everyone involved stayed in contact with us every step of the way. We received our chair this afternoon and the delivery guys were great as well! Professional and courteous. Would recommend Kensington to anyone in need of furniture!! Thanks again!!”

“I have been to surroundings three times now . Every time it is the same experience . Bad!!! Having been in retail my entire life I am an expert on good customer service and bad service . So this is a high end furniture store that caters to people from all over the area including people who may live on the beach in Ocean City , and when you live at the beach you tend to wear tshirts shorts and flip flops even when you go to a fancy furniture store . Well three times now I visited the store over a two year period and every time same thing the sales reps sat at their desk and ignored me . Today I walked in , rep number one no hello , drop dead or anything , rep # 2 a little better excused herself when she accidentally bumped into me , but still did not ask if I needed help . Finally rep # 3 sitting at a desk again by herself like the other two associates ignored me and my wife even though we were right in front of her showing a great deal of interest in an expensive entertainment center . So giving her the benefit of the doubt I approached her and asked if they deliver to our home town . She looked up and said they do have delivery people and then put her head back down and looked backed at her computer . Now I am sure 100% sure they believed we were in the wrong store based on the way we dressed . After three different times in the store with the same treatment every time I would have to assume they employ the worst salespeople on the planet or they need to realize that every customer should be treated with respect and made to feel comfortable . Your in egg harbor township for god sales not Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills where snobbery is more expected . For those of you that are looking for high end furniture do yourself a favor buy it from nice people not Surroundings . We saw three pieces we would have purchased totally about 22k according to the price tag , if only someone said hello .”
“Great experience! Greeted at the door by Barbara who listened to my needs and quickly found EXACTLY what I needed and for a terrific price! I have already told EVERYONE that I know to go see Barbara!! Thank You!”
Bob's Discount Furniture is growing while its competitors shrink. Full-year net revenue jumped 16.8% to $2.4 billion, and net income rose to $121.7 million from $87.9 million the prior year. Wayfair is testing a new, smaller store design. The online home furnishings giant, famous for its endless digital catalog, is trying a different strategy for its physical locations. The company announced plans to open a smaller prototype store in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for late 2026. Located next to the Polaris Fashion Mall, the new space will span approximately 70,000 square feet.
Online furniture giant Wayfair is setting up shop in Atlanta with plans for a huge 150,000-square-foot store opening in 2026. The new location will take over the former Walmart space at The District at Howell Mill shopping center. This marks Wayfair's second big store, following its first location that opened in Wilmette, Illinois, in May 2024.
