“Father Girmley is a "real priest" that has an amazing way of making everyine feel a part of the Catholic community. He always goes above and beyond in his ministry. The church is welcoming and has a ministry for many things. We travel 15 minutes to attend this church instesad of others.”
“If you have a petition in your heart, or just need a space in solitude to pray, go visit, St Rita Shrine in Philadelphia. The shrine opens at 9:00 am. You can sense the sacredness once you walk into lower church. St Rita is known for the impossible prayers. Bring your prayers and petitions. There are confessionals during the day. The shrine has a gift shop on the premises. A young man by the name Michael is there to assist you with any questions. He is friendly and knowledgeable. ?P.S. There were no bogus expectations, there were no judgements, and the sermon focused on the teachings of Jesus and relationship with God.I was concerned at first that this church would not have enough conviction in the Gospel, but that is far from the case. I've never seen a church where so many of the members are involved in volunteer ministries that benefit the community.The church is very accommodating for the differently-abled, and has a diverse congregation. “Beautiful serene space. FYI - you enter through the back entrance. Go down the alley to the left of the building and the entrance will be on your right. For the Sunday morning session my experience was - you spend time listening to the instructor, then meditate, listen again, break up in groups to discuss your thoughts and meditate again. Really positive and welcoming experience”
