“I started renting 2 units at the OC storage sense because of its location. I rented 2 units because the first one was too small, and when I called I couldn’t transfer to a larger unit without Storage Director approval and they weren’t in during the holidays, I completely understand that. So I ended up renting a larger unit in the meantime. The process was super easy online, in fact, I did it on my phone. After the holidays, the Storage director called me back which was an unlikely surprise. Thank you!
Pros: The facility is clean, floors use Dampraid to decrease moisture, the doors on the units are easy to pull up and down, there are light timers throughout the floors, and dollies and hand trucks are provided on the bottom floors. The elevator is deceptively small but it fit my king bed and bed frame. There’s informational posters around the units about checking in and canceling your unit, and local business cards.
Cons: My first unit I wanted was supposed to be on the ground level but after calling multiple times I couldn’t get anyone to help me since it seems like they lost the lock code in their system. I was pretty upset, but eventually I connected with someone on the phone who was able to transfer me to a different unit on another floor with a lock code.
Some of the floors aren’t well lit, so I bought magnetic wall lights for the unit. There’s only a 2-3 car and truck loading zone in front of the building. I was moving during the off season so it was easy, but I can’t imagine how it would be backing a 15ft moving truck during the summer time on Asbury Ave.
Overall, I actually really like the Storage Sense. A few inconveniences but I think those were due to the holidays. You might need to call a few times if you have trouble but eventually you’ll get someone who is kind and can help. I’ll continue using this Storage Sense because of the location and I know customer service lines aren’t horrible. (Remember it could always be worse). Everyone I spoke with was nice and provided me with the information I needed.”

“Jenny’s help with sign up was easy and thorough. Unit was clean and ready when we arrived. Only recommendation is for more thorough signage - building numbers were clearly marked but the indoor location of smaller units wasn’t as clear.”

“Best U-Haul Experience and Rental Agent. Don at the Ocean Heights Ave New Jersey location who handled the rental for me made sure the Van was spotless. Also took time to explain the contract and the time to go over the controls and location of the gas fill flap which is hidden in the RAM van below the driver door. All of the Rental Vehicles' were lined up and looked like a nice selection. I chose the RAM Van as per speaking with DON on the phone.
This U-Haul Location is very convenient for me. I'll be back again as Don takes care of his customers.”
“Horrible customer support, emails & calls go unanswered. They to continued to charge for insurance even after I provided proof of insurance from my homeowners policy. Beware of being overcharged and not being able to get in touch with management.
After posting this review I was contacted and the issue was rectified.”

The screen to select your package/wash is very outdated and you can hardly see prices or what they’re selling you, you need a flashlight. THEY DO TAKE CARD
Also they allow your car to soak in what seems like quality products and it left my car looking fantastic, it did its thing! Machines are ferocious, they’re great!”
