CONS: They only accept cash up to $25 and parking is limited to street parking. It's also cramped inside overall: if you were in the area you should stop on in. “I have no idea why I didn't review this shop earlier. Today is my third time and every time I have walked out with some awesome vintage stuff. Today I picked up a reversible caped coat with leopard print on one side and orange on the other $50. No label but this is a coat that put a smile on my face. It's a statement coat but I'll wear it all winter. A lovely gown for my nephew's wedding for $15, a very large hand crocheted blanket and a lovingly washed quilt to go over it - each for $20. A copper bar server for $10 and a vintage clothesline pin holder in a fun and funky mix of salvaged cloth absolutely made my day. Top it all off with with the nicest people running it. This is one of the best church thrifts on the East Coast.”

“Great selection of gently used and repurposed items. As the saying goes, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure. There are also friendly cats and kittens in this business who are available for adoption. The staff encourage filling out an online application through their website to visit the strays who are in need of homes. I think this is a wonderful idea because it lessens the chances of the cats and their kittens contracting infections from everyone touching and letting them. I will be going back to bring more items to contribute to a great cause and hopefully, at some point in the near future, come home with a new pair of cuddle buddies providing a home for them.”

“I have always been a supporter of the thrift stores in Rockland County & Grace's is like my second home. It's a fun place to browse through and find stuff like pots and pans vases. The prices are much lower than the stores. The ladies are volunteers and they are delighted to help you. Most of the money goes to charity and grants for school so it a great way to give back to the community.”

“I went here to look for some black pants for work, unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything that fit me. I'm a size 16, I wasn't able to find any parts over size 14. Most were 8 and 10 under. So if you're on the bigger side, I wouldn't be too hopeful about finding clothes here. They have quite a bit of a selection tho, I did find the curtains I was looking for and most prices are good. I saw a lot of clothes for 8 dollars under, and I saw a couple for 40$ plus. Overall a good place to go to for shirts and other miscellaneous stuff. I'll return again when I'm looking to refresh my closet.Edit: yes, it's true nothing is organized by size, only color, so be prepared to sort to the whole rack to find something in your size.”

“Unfortunately a lot of items don't have price tag, it seems a recurrent issue from certain customers that frequent this location that remove the price tags in order to exchange them with a lower price tag. I hope Mgmt. can identify the culprits, it makes the entire shopping experience somewhat dull, from not purchasing the item or pay a full price when this could have been a discounted item. I suggest them to stapple item better and identify clients that are persisting with these practices. Overall things are organized, good illumination.”

“Shoppers today may not believe this, but the building housing MyUnique Thrift Paterson is ACTUALLY 120 YEARS OLD! It's original purpose was as one of the first department stores in the history of downtown Paterson. It was originally known as Quackenbush and built to replace the original store which burned down in the Great Paterson Fire of 1902. Quackenbush took up six floors of the current building with each floor covering a different type of product. Walk to the middle of the current store, and you'll see a double spiral staircase. THAT IS THE ORIGINAL STAIRCASE. An architectural marvel. Although it has been refurbished several times, it has still held up over the decades. Today's store, while lacking the charm of the original, still pays homage to the spirit of Quackenbush. MyUnique Thrift Paterson has the standard of a true store of this kind. Good products at good prices. The service can be a bit impersonal but it's a different clientele these days.”
