“BEST MEAT EVER!!!! I 100% recommend this place!!!! The quality of the meat literally transported me back to my country ????. We had the best night ever, even the empanadas that they sell were legit Argentinean style and juicy. We are definitely going back, totally worth the travel ??. Thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.”
“Extremely happy with my experience with Melinda’s meat Market and the staff. I felt like family during the process of placing my order. I don’t usually go to real butchers so I was nervous. I truly felt like I was getting a celebrity consultation. They asked what I like , my style of cooking , my intentions (which was 5 day meal prep of 3 meals a day ) weight , cuts and I got the most perfect put together box of meat ever. Good people , even better quality products. Will only get my meat here and I spent less than I would at stop n shop or ShopRite. Can’t beat the personalized experience , I can’t wait for next weeks meal prep order !! Also it was so clean and trimmed , it took all the hard prep work out of the way for me and none of the mess , great for busy people and families , or cooking for 1. The communication at this store 10/10 !!”
“The selection was pretty vast on a Saturday morning. The store was packed with locals and tourists. I couldn't see the price list for the goods and that tempered down my ambitions.
Nevertheless, I bought a pork knuckle. It was delicious!”
“The Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn). The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day. There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu. The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time. There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.”
“you want really good meats, bread, cheese and anything else in a small package (in and out) with really cool folks servicing you then muncan is your place. I go there unfortunately twice a year but I spent a lot on everything.”

“I always have a 5 Star experience with Sorriso service and food but need to make sure now to review publicly because the antipasto just really helped my Christmas. The appetizers - peppers, eggplant, onions, and more were all fantastic. I feel I can always rely on Sorriso to help me with any table for any holiday or get together. The staff is always wonderful and I walk in knowing I’m going to be treated with kindness, warmth, and expertise. Thank you! You’re an asset to the community.”
“Ottomanelli is iconic! This family-owned butcher shop has been in the Village for 70 years, originally from Italy. I love chatting with the three brothers — their service is amazing, and the meat is always top quality. Truly inspiring and a staple in the neighborhood!

“We were here twice in April 25 (OK, late review, but better late than never). Once for a hot dog and once for a steak. Both times: delicious food, super friendly staff. What more could you want? Thank you, and when we're back in New York, we'll be back :)”
“Best guanciale I have ever had. Better than all other salumerias and Italian specialty stores I have tried in NY NJ. And for a reasonable price. I will only be buying here from now on. Help me keep this place around. Go here. Try it.”

“Was referred here by a friend who orders his thanksgiving turkey from Marlow & Daughters every year and swears by them. I thought I’d give it a shot and ordered a 13lbs turkey for our Friendsgiving last week and safe to say it was the juiciest most delicious turkey I’ve ever had!! Every one of our guests said the same, no one’s ever had a turkey that good. I thought 11$ a pound was a bit pricey but boy was it worth it. No wonder I’ve never really been a fan of roasted turkey, I was eating tasteless supermarket turkey. 100% recommend, I’m sure ALL their meats are locally sourced and top quality”
“always the best sandwiches you could ever order everybody there is more than accommodating. I’ve been going there for years and I will continue to be going there for years.”
“Got a great Chuck Roast last week. The butcher cut it fresh and tied it perfectly, so I had a rich and tender pot roast that didn’t fall apart after four hours of braising. Very friendly service.”
“The best hidden gem in Passaic. The products are top quality and always amazing and delicious. The environment is great and everyone is always friendly and helpful. So happy to have found this place, my family and I will be lifelong customers.”

“I visited and shopped first time today - I live walking distance to the store! Wonderful little place - the butcher section looked amazing and super nice owner working hard! I found just what I was looking for and will be visiting again soon. So lucky to live in this multi cultural neighborhood!”
“It is a very nice Turkish market. There are many butcher and greengrocer sections with a wide variety of products. They help you with everything. I would especially like to thank Mr. Ahmet. I have shopped from this market 30 times and I will continue to shop.
I definitely recommend it to you. There is a huge free parking lot behind Grand Bazaar food.”

“We had the tomahawk steak from C&J Prime Meats and cooked it at home! It was absolutely exceptional premium quality and incredibly fresh. Once cooked, it was juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavor, truly high-end restaurant level meat at home. You can really taste the difference in quality and care. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be getting more from them soon!”

“After taking my kids in their 20's to Ireland for the first time this year, I thought it would be a great surprise to assemble them an Irish breakfast box for Christmas. I finally settled on ordering Irish breakfast sausages, rashers, and black pudding from this shop based on their story and the reviews. We were not disappointed! The meats are fantastic. Now we are thinking we need to plan a trip to New York to check out the store in person, and load up on more meat. Thank you for the excellent service and products. We will definitely be buying more!”
“Traveling to Brooklyn to visit my favorite butchers has been one of the highlights of my NYC trips. Lou and Joe are walking saints and scholars to their community. They got 90% of what you need for the week of only high-quality products and a well-chosen inventory. The eggs are fresh and the butter is real. Our food always comes out better when we shop here. Thank you gentlemen and I will see you again. Friendly reminder that they are a cash only business.”
“It’s not that hard Job i came by i495 east i just followed Garmin took me to right place,i495 to John kennedy (30th St) then right turn on Summit Ave this might be hard to Make then after fews stops they located on left they want you to park on left side facing upcoming traffic it’s loading zone space for only one truck, my appointment was 5 AM , there was already a truck before me they made me turned around, unloading fast , restroom and shower available, for exit i followed google map i took right on 22nd st then right on JF kennedy rd then straight to i495 garmin would say low bridge but it’s not on your way , you will make u turn to i495 west from a stop sign ! “This place is so nice and the staff are welcoming and friendly! I bought a 35 day dry aged Delmonico steak, and it was the best steak I have ever eaten. Its been weeks and I still remember the taste. they gave me specific instructions on how to cook it which was very helpful. The steak was huge and fed 3 people. I will be returning for another dry aged steak”

“I was recommended this butcher and couldn’t be happier. The service was fantastic, welcoming, and very knowledgeable, and the meat quality was truly outstanding. Coming from Europe, where high-quality food is essential, I can honestly say this place exceeds expectations. I received excellent advice for my Christmas meals, and the meat was simply exceptional. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this butcher.”

“a little italy staple and filled with so much history! been coming here since i was young for my meats and cheeses. they have the freshest products around the area and is a must try even if you’re just visiting. the line can be long but once its your turn, you get taken care of by the best people. i’m always trying and learning something new when i come in here. i always get their prosciutto di parma and once you try fresh, its hard to go back to store bought. they’re also great with providing big pieces for you to sample, so you never leave with an empty stomach.”
