“I wanted to write this review to say what a great guy Mike the owner is. I went there with my Infiniti QX60 do to a sound I was hearing in the engine. He went for a test drive with me and gave me his honest professional opinion, then proceeded to help me see if I had a warranty so I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket. I did through Infiniti. He did try to scam me or take any money from me in fact he was a genuinely nice guy who did nothing but help me and saved me thousands of dollars. Great guy!!!”

“I went to Next Gen Performance to have them install a new charge pipe and HKS BOV on my turbocharged ND2 Miata. What sounded like a simple install turned out to be quite challenging because of how tight and difficult to access the charge pipe deep in the engine bay.
Alex and his team did a great job figuring out the most cost-effective way to get everything installed without unnecessarily tearing the car apart. He kept me updated throughout the process. I was very impressed with their attention to detail—not only making sure everything was installed and put back together correctly, but also taking the time to clean up the engine bay area they worked on. The turnaround time was really quick. They started working on it soon after I dropped it off late in the afternoon and it was ready early the next morning. In the end, the cost for all the work done was a bit more than I expected but it was fair.
Alex is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely enjoys sharing that knowledge. He took the time to explain the different components of my turbo setup and answer all of my questions, which gave me some great ideas for potential future upgrades.
Everyone at the shop was friendly, relaxed, and focused on making sure I was happy with the work. It's clear that they take pride in what they do and care about their customers.
I'm very happy with the work and would definitely recommend Alex and the Next Gen Performance team for car modifications, performance upgrades, and routine maintenance. I'll definitely be coming back for future work on my Miata.”
“Took my car to lance after a very bad and horrible experience with the prior shop l had my car at ....explained to him my issue within two hours l was on the phone with him and complete ✅💯 diagnosis of what he found and he sent me videos and pictures of everything needed to repair with an exact estimate of what it would cost....and that estimate showed all parts cost....l was very happy, impressed to be kept informed of the status of the repairs and completion date ......I would recommend him to anyone and everyone”
“My vehicle was delivered to this repair shop after it broke down on the side of the road. My boyfriend found the shop and had it towed there. I was initially resistant to the repair shop checking all aspects of the vehicle because I had a previous evaluation done stating the starter wasn't working. However, the shop's leader said he would do what I asked, but the car hasn't been fully checked. After further examination, the shopkeeper found that the engine was blown. I was grateful that I didn't move forward with a starter.”

“They saved me $2500 catching a mistake the dealer made about my warranty coverage. The dealer wanted to charge me $2500 for a repair, so I shopped around, I called a few places including this one. Metuchen transmission was the only place that called me back, and thanks to them my repair was covered by the warranty at the dealer. Metuchen transmission went above and beyond and I didn’t even give them $1. If I ever need transmission service again this is the first place I’m going to call.”
“My wheel lock broke, I called the dealer and giving me a run around that they don't have a master key and might not be able to take out the locks. Called Leo and said to bring the car over, he took care of me in 15minutes - that is with interruptions from his delivery. LOL. He charged me a minimal $. He is honest and an excellent mechanic.”
