“Ann is wonderful from Cottage Flowers. She has beautiful arrangements and she called to check in with me to make sure it was ok to substitute pink roses since she didn’t have peach which is totally fine. We talked for a bit and she was such a lovely and kind person. I am sending flowers to my sister in law at a hotel since their house caught fire and she had some personal things she’s going through and to brighten and cheer her up I wanted to send flowers . Ann said she would deliver them and make the arrangement real nice . Thank you for your help . I highly recommend Cottage flowers if you need a certain arrangement or for any occasion . Ann does her best to make everything perfect and is super friendly .”

“WOW I received flowers from family recently and was amazed at how colorful and vibrant the assortment was. Flowers by Candlelight even called ahead to make sure I would be home since it was very cold out. It’s been over a week and the flowers still look as fresh as they were on day one. “There was miscommunication on flowers that i ordered for the passing of my best friend’s mother. The flowers were supposed to be delivered on Monday before 2pm. It was Columbus Day. When i arrived at funeral home and saw that the arrangement was not there i called and left a message. I WAS TOTALLY FLOORED TO THE POINT I STARTING SHEDDING TEARS. NOT ONLY DID REFUND MY MONEY BUT THEY SEND THE ARRANGEMENT FIRST THING TUESDAY SINCE FUNERAL WAS NOT TILL 1pm. THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY. A little less then a week later i decided to write a review (which I really hate doing) but after I wrote it the owner texted me reached out to me pretty quickly. He was very apologetic and wanted to make it right. He was a man of his word and today my wife received a beautiful bouquet in a vase which I originally didn't order with the original flowers. The owner didn't have to do this but he did and he went out of his way to make my wife happy. After all this I will definitely be going back. Thank you again! All of our guests were talking about how beautiful our flower arch, candles, and centerpieces were and for good reason. She was nice enough to increase the sizes of our centerpieces for no additional charge and always worked with my budget as best she could. On top of that the bridal bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages blended with our dresses and tuxes perfectly. My wedding felt magical and Debbie’s Designs had a lot to do with that. Alla is nothing but professional. I went back and forth on so many things (colors, design, adding center pieces, removing centerpieces, adding candles, etc.) and never once did she make me feel bad and/or get annoyed with all the changes. She simply made time to meet again with us and reassured us that everything would be beautiful. If you book with her you will be in good hands. On my wedding day she made sure to speak directly with me to see if it was okay to change the position of the candles instead of deciding to just do it herself! After searching for a great florist for months I can tell you that no one else can compare to her quality and professionalism.”

He has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants, including native plants, and he can answer even the most nuanced and complex questions with ease. Though it’s tempting to believe our computers can do all our landscape architecture for us, I can affirm that ChatGPT doesn’t know what Nick knows. He can tell me exactly what is going on with various growers, issues that have strained production, patterns of larger companies, when plants are expected to restock, etc. His deep industry relationships are an invaluable tool for understanding how and when I can landscape my property. Speaking of relationships, he is easy to speak and work with because he is kind-hearted, nonjudgmental and low ego. Whether you are an expert gardener or completely new to it and anxiously arriving feeling clueless, he will never make you feel stupid, and I can guarantee he will give you sage advice. When Fred Rogers said look for the helpers, he was talking about Nick. There just aren’t enough people like him in the world, and I feel so lucky that we have him right here in Madison.”
