βThe best local hardware store. Full of practical stuff for your home/garden projects and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My 7 y/o loves to snoop around in there because there are so many neat little items and prices are reasonable. Got my windows re-screened there, and they were done within 24 hrs.β

The florist delivered a beautiful arrangement to my family but the flowers were not the color i expected. The were willing to replace the arrangement. Unfortunately, my family was not available to do the exchange. They then offered others options. Ive ordered from them for years and they never disappoint on quality and design execution. You can order with confidence. I live in Florida and my family is in NJ so its comforting to know the arrangement represents our sincere Thanksfulness during this season of Thanksgiving.

βOverall they seem to have a nice variety of plants and gardening supplies. I was there to get herbs and they had a nice variety of both standard and organic, with one exception- I didnβt find any organic basil, which was disappointing. My wife asked inside and was told it was on the back patio but we searched everywhere and only found the standard.
Maybe it was because we were there midweek but there was no real help around. The older lady inside at the register was nice enough.
I was also hoping that maybe they grew and sold fresh fruit and vegetables but alas, they do not.
Also, if you read past mentions of a petting zoo or miniature donkeys, they no longer have any animals.
Overall, they have a good variety and were pretty well organized and clean.β
βGreat selection of plants, this is always my go-to nursery every year for any annuals that I may need. My only problem with it this year is that there were no prices posted, so I didn't get as much as I would normally get because I had no idea how much anything cost.β

βAs a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot.My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.β
βThis is a long overdue review for Schweinfurth. I am beyond grateful for Chet for fulfilling the casket cover of flowers for my loved one's funeral. It happened right around the 4th of July holiday and their time off in the summer but he took the time to make it extra special and deliver on time. If I ever need flowers in the future, I will be ordering from them. Thank you again for your open communication and care during a difficult time.β

βVery user friendly and great place for all your mason, DIY, tool, gravel, sand, stone, etc. supplies. It was my first time there today and picked up a yard of stone dust for patio pavers. This place was so close to me as well and didnβt even know they were there until I found them online. I would highly recommend to my family and friends!β

Not only that, Iβm pretty sure heβll bring in items based on his customerβs request. Nice family run operation and the experience feels very personal.β

βMHS never disappoints. They are extremely knowledgeable about everything/problem I have ever brought to them. Rarely do they not have what I need, but the one time they didn't have in stock what I needed, they told me exactly what to buy and had me take a picture of the specs.β
βMontvale hardware is an icon in Montvale NJ β¦ The owner is extremely accommodating even through Covid ! I highly recommended them for a big project or just a quick tube of caulk ! The BM paint section is wonderful. This place has that old school wooden creaking floor hardware feel and we in Montvale cherish it so !!!!! You must visitβ

I've used John and his team twice for pretty big jobs (80+ft trees) and they are awesome - the latest job they took down 4 large trees that were dead and when they were done, you wouldn't even know that they were there - cleaned up everything and took the trees away. Very fair price, super efficient and safety conscious. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!β
βI would like to write about my experience today. My four year old son whom is on the autism spectrum wanted a pumpkin. We live nearby, and he was so excited to see all the pumpkins they have outside. We had a great time looking at all the pumpkins when for an unknown reason my son had a meltdown screaming and kicking on the floor. I did my best picking him up and wanted to purchase his two small pumpkins so we could leave. He went inside and grabbed the candy bowl and attempted to leave. I removed the bowl from his hands and placed it back. I wanted to pay for those two pumpkins and just leave. The owner came in and turned to my son and asked him which of the two small scarecrows did he like. Of course, my son grabbed both scarecrows. I went to pay and they told me it was a gift to my son. I thanked them and started to cry because I felt that we were truly welcomed there. As we walked back to the car, the lady that worked there as well turned to me and said that I was doing a fantastic job. I said Iβm sorry my son is on the spectrum and sometimes has meltdowns. She said nothing to be sorry for just wanted you to know youβre doing a fantastic job. This is the prime example of being seen, heard and included. I never felt so welcomed at a place with my son before. Sincerely; thank you from a mom that is truly doing her best.β

βEveryone complains about poor service but I'd like to highlight some exceptionally good service.On November 4 I went to the Paramus NJ store to purchase foam insulation boards and rent a vehicle to transport them. First I signed up for the rental then went to purchase the product. I faced disappointment when the boards were not in the location they were supposed to be and store staff had to locate and them and bring them down from a high shelf. Then I had to check out the very bulky items. The process took time and I was on the rental clock. But what could have been a frustrating experience was turned pleasant by the friendly and helpful store staff. I was especially impressed with the tool/vehicle rental staff who noticed the purchase delay and reset the rental clock before I even asked (I was told it is policy to allow consideration for purchase time but the staff tracked it without me having to make a fuss). Now it looks like I'll need to purchase a dishwasher soon. Paramus HD is now #1 on my shopping list!(BTW I got an email for the survey but I was busy, and before I had a chance to fill it in, the survey expired. Seems to expire after 7 days - not enough time for people busy with their projects!)β

βIβll be honest, I havenβt always loved coming to this location. I usually try to get in, grab what I need, and head out. In the past, Iβve run into moments where the service felt unfriendly or unhelpful, and when I need real assistance for a project, Iβve sometimes chosen to drive to another store instead.
That said, Iβve had the pleasure of interacting with Ms. Coco a few times now, and she completely changes the experience. Every single time I deal with her, I feel taken care of. She truly understands customer service. I even saw her calmly step in to mediate an argument between two customers in line about who was first, and she handled it professionally and with confidence.
If more interactions were like that, it would make a big difference. I really hope her approach reflects the direction Home Depot wants for serving the Paterson community.β
