Johnson Park, spanning Edison, Piscataway, Highland Park and New Brunswick, offers a serene riverside experience. Perfect for walks, biking, and sports. The closed zoo is a bit run-down, but kids can still enjoy the play area. Multiple picnic spots add charm, though check the zoo's status before visiting. Overall, a family-friendly environment with beautiful natural surroundings.Picnic area: Lots of picnic tables, some spots need a reservation.

Johnson Park isn't the same without the animals. I miss my babies and would love to see them return, in a revamped space with zookeepers that actually care about their well being a tad bit more than the check. ✅ Do anyone know where the animals are? They're not at Thompson Park.

The best park available in Edison, Piscataway, Plainfield and New Brunswick area next to a river. Good for long walks, biking, tennis, soccer and quiet sit and watch areas of pond and river. It had a small zoo area with different animals but that's closed now. Multiple grove/picnic areas with grills that could be booked online for outdoor parties.

There are 2 grounds here and I'm reviewing ground 2 , which is closer to the parking . Ground 1 is good . We had some U17 matches there and it's good. Ground 2 is a bit wierd . There is a tree right before the mid wicket boundary .... Everytime someone hits there and hits the tree, you have to run and score . It's not considered a six ! Nice and big parking !! Overall a good ground but ground 2 is a bit wierd !
